Hi all,

First of all I would like to thank this community and the developers for this excellent ROM. I'm quite pleased with it.

I installed Gapps to my phone just to have the Market available. I do not need all the other google applications.
I would like to uninstall those I do not need because they keep reappearing as 'running' in my taskmanager. Even after I've killed them they somehow started up again.

Any advice on how to uninstall them so I can spare my battery and memory?

Also, do I still need to patch my Market app?

Thanks!

Let me answer my own topic with the following link:

And I quote: So, for example, if you never listen to music on your phone, it is perfectly safe to remove Music.apk. However, you will need to reinstall Music.apk if you ever do want to listen to music on your phone.
If I correctly understand the above, even with an replacement app like Winamp, I still need Music.apk. Could anyone confirm this please?
And what about video then?

You don't have to install Music.apk for Winamp. E.g. YouTube.apk works without Music.apk.
