SD card doesn't mount anymore in linux

when plugging the phone on the computer, dmesg only gives me [sdb]: and not [sdb]: sdb1 like before. i cannot mount anymore the sdcard.

though when taking it apart, it works with all the data on. i tried formatting it with the phone, but with no better success.

anyone got a clue ?

I notice the same using the latest stable mod for the Samsung Galaxy 2.
