Hey, Temasek. I lurk too much over at XDA, and so still don't have my requisite posts, so I figured I'd ask you here.
I love your N1 Kangs, and have been using them for the past month or so. I see your new "double-tap home" feature, which I think is great (is double-tap search next? edit: actually, that probably is application specific, so won't work...), and it reminded me of something that's been bugging me for a bit.

Background:
I had to use a loaner (non-Nexus) phone for a bit at one point, and it didn't have a notification light, so I used NoLED, which is great, if you're unfamiliar with it. It has a nice feature where you can dismiss the  on-screen notifications by double-tapping the screen, among other ways. It's useful, say, if you're at your computer when an email comes in - you can check it there but don't want to unlock the phone just to swipe it away. Otherwise the LED will just sit there glowing.

So my question:
Is there some way to do this? I was thinking maybe a double-tap of the trackball when the phone is locked. Or maybe there's a solution that already exists. I tried searching a while back, and again just now, but came up with nothing. I'm open to other suggestions, but I can't believe I'm the only one who would find this feature useful (and neat).

I took the leap and ordered myself a GS3. I hope it's the right choice.

Once u have it, could u post some screenies and a short text of how u feel it about it? I know its off-topic. :D

Sure thing, though it won't be until the start of the next month before I get it.

Aww, that's a pity. Just out of curiosity, is the issue with clearing the notification (set it to black?) or with the double-press trackball doing something (I'm not sure who did the double-tap home). I do some programming, so I'm willing to take a stab at it, but I honestly would have no idea where to start. I've only gone as far as to checkout the CM source before. :(

I installed CM7.2-RC2 a couple days ago... everything is fine. Really haven't noticed any changes from RC1.

Eyes-Free? I am not even familiar with that keyboard and it doesn't sound like the stock one.

Anyway, to fix your problem with the keyboard being reset, just move it back to internal/phone memory under Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Swift Key
