OK. Then I don't know. I never use Google's own backup, since I don't think I can trust it.

Better to use Titanium Backup...

On 87, the News / Weather widget is missing. I restored it from Ti Backup. Any reason why it's missing?

The News and Weather Genie app comes from the gapps. It isn't an app that is included with CM.

Correct. =) The bad Gapps...isn't that a proper name?

I would like to be called bad, since I use that version. =)

The 0503 gapps were official ones that were put out by whoever does them, but it had a broken file in there... Temasek replaced that file with one from the March gapps and put out a modified 0507 gapps that now works properly.

I still have to flash 3/07 first, before flashing 5/07, following a full wipe; otherwise problems. Has anyone tried the 5/13 gapps for nexus S???

Build 87

7hrs and battery below 8%

unplugged 7hrs ago, when battery at 100%, before i went to bed.

rubbish battery life.

back to build 85

20hrs 8mins, and battery at 65%.

normal usage (a few phone calls, social networking from time to time, occasional emails).

better battery life. again, stick with #85 for now (for me).

I've never needed to flash the 03/07 first. The last 2-3 times I wiped my phone I only flashed the 0507.

And glad to see you over here makelegs. :)  I have learned a lot from you on xda, and I know others will benefit from you being on here as well.

Have there been problems with nightly builds? Or a holiday weekend such as this past weekend in the States?

Hdd failure. Possibly next few days no nightly. To satisfy the itch go find a KANG build to flash.  :)
