This is a 'Hack' for the audio to make it louder. i came across it in Steve_t's theme so i thought i would add it to my theme and just a seperate flashable zip.

dont know if a nandroid backs up these files but if your having problems and ther audio revert doesnt work then you can just re flash the stock 5.0.8 rom. but if your smart and nand backup before you apply the hack, if you have to re apply the stock ROM then you can do that then flash your nand back!

i tested both zips on my phone (HTC Magic 32B) and all worked successfully

you know the drill i accept no responsibility for what this does....including busting your eardrums!
i have tested on my phone and it works!

Audio Hack From Steve_t's theme

Audio Revert (smaller) Made by Me :D

CM6 AUDIO HACK TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!

audio hack a

audio hack b

b is louder but a tiny bit distorted! comments appreciated

still have to make a revert

Enjoy

I dont know if this works for anything other than Dream/Saphire (Maybe G1) but you can try it and see if you like or maybe some MOD can clarify if it is!

It is compatible with 5.0.8.

To be honest I don't know. I just separated it from steve_t's theme and made a revert.
if you download it and open up the zip the names of the files might help answer that (if not you can contact him)
sorry I couldn't be of more help. If I find more out ill post it

EDIT: The files are called AudioPara4
AudioPara_TMUS
and of course the audio filter file

UPDATED

Made Revert smaller.
the two files apart from the audio filter are not needed as they are already on the phone.

All I can say is WOW! This audio hack is awesome. Everyone with a G1 or Mytouch 3g should definitely flash this. Much more clear and resounding then stock volume. This is a god send because I live/work in loud environments.

I wouldn't be sure on that. The only thing this does to the phone is it ADDS two files to the audio folder in the root of your phone, and it replaces a file in the folder called audio filter. the audio filter would be the only part of the audio that would be there after you flash this so if you had a root explorer (such as andromate from market) you could locate the file audio filter and copy it to your SD and then maybe your pc for safe keeping. When you there you could possibly back up the two other files, not sure what there called on the n1, but I think their extensions are .Csv and they may have the word audio in them.
after you do that your good to flash and if it doesn't work you can use andromate to move your original files back. If it does work tell me then I can create flashable zips

That's good, wasn't sure if it would but obviously it does!
Can someone try the revert to see if it works? I'm not using cm6 yet... waiting for apps2SD

I flashed this on my N1 running CM6RC2, and haven't heard too much of a difference. Anyone else have a different experience?
