I am a french user of CyanogenMod for just a year now, as I got my Nexus One. The CM6.1.1 was just almost perfect for me (except one small bug about the widget in the status bar), and each new version have improved the fonctionalities and reduce the number of bugs.
Obviously I wanted to try Gingerbread so I have flashed the CM7 RC1 (and new Google Adds) without a full wipe to keek my applications and datas.
I am with ADSL french Free provider for wifi at home, and GSM/EDGE/HDPA Orange network.
As it solved my status bar widget problems, for the first time with updating it also created some annoying problems that I am going to describe.
The SIP integrated agent is not working at all, directly with Free provider parameters or with a pbxes.org gate (it is working with CSimple or Sipdroid, very well with wifi, quite bad with 3G enven with GSM narrow band only, directly with free and/or with pbxes).
I have problems to receive call (not with SIP, with standard GSM network). It rings, and when I take the line there is an incredible delay (about 20s) where the callers do not hear me. If he calls me just right after, it is working....
The application Sports.fr of the market is no longer working on 3G, as it is still working with wifi. It seems that the application needed to be updated, but I am not sure. It works perfectly going back to CM6.
The Google Voice recognition is no longer working at all (french version). Very annoying !
I have lost the possibility to have the battery % status in the upper bar, and also the dB of the signal (instead of the 4 bars), and the 720p video recording, but I suppose it is going on for the next update.
Gingerbread is told to be faster than Froyo. As for me, I did not see any difference.
Finally, I went back to CM6.1.1, as the CM7 add only better graphics interface, but quite a lot of annoying bugs.
If you have any idea to solve some of this issue, I am listening
