So while trying to root my myTouch 4G today, I discovered something.  After installing the SDK and trying various methods to install ADB correctly, I kept seeing the ADB with the big yellow question mark.  I finally read an article about installing HTC Sync.  Went to HTC.com and downloaded the HTCDriver.exe for the myTouch 4G found here:

http://www.htc.com/u...h-4g/downloads/

After installing the driver, I just plugged in my phone and voila! everything works.

Just thought I'd mention it.  I tried to reach article in the Forum but it could get a little much.

Can I recommend that this get added to the Wiki somewhere?

Thanks,

Murad

I don't want to bust your bubble. But you NEED the phones proper drivers installed for ADB to work correctly. The SDK needs that to talk to the phone. It's kind of a given.
