Hi,

If I want to install ADW EX over CM, what should I do?

I used root explorer, deleted the ADW apk and copyed ADW EX.
It works fine but the menus are not integrated. When I press the "menu soft key" I get ADW EX menus and not CM menus.

Ideas?

I renamed mine to ADWLauncher.apk and placed it in the system/app folder...

And the home screen menu is the same as before? (CM menu and not the ADW EX one)

I doubt it because the menu is part of CM. Also, when using ADW EX, it won't show the adw menu in Settings (if it still does that... been using EX for a long time).

You can redo the menus of ADW EX so they are similar to the ones that were on regular ADW.

I just installed EX as a separate app. I left the stock one there.

Yes if u are a nightly bird, I suggest keep adw and install adw ex to internal. Save the trouble.

I am but I don't understand how installing adw ex to internal will fix my problem?

The problem is that I don't have the "settings" button on the adw ex menu.
I use that link to go to the wifi screen and choose a network.

If I just install adw ex the "settings" button is no longer there..

Go to ADW Settings -> System Preferences -> Customize Menu

Then just move up settings in the list and it will show.

Are u installing latest version of adw ex? Older version hides settings in adw ex but new version returns the settings back to menu option.

Bass is right. U can customize it too. Nvr tried that. By default I installed adw ex, the settings already in the menu.

Mine is in there as well, but I couldn't remember if it was from a setting I carried over in doing app backups and restoring when I wipe, or if it was a default thing they did.

Also, if you want it and it isn't there, you should be able to hit the "more" button and it will show you additional entries.

You are right.
It was an older version.
With the new version, I now have the setting button.

Happy days.

Thanks!

When I press menu from the home screen I get the option to pick settings for the normal stuff, or more for the ADW settings...
