Hello everyone, I'm quite new to cyanogenmod. I've installed cyanogenmod 6.1.1 on my Desire yesterday, bur I forgot to install the Google apps zip. My question is wether I can still install that package without having to re-flash the ROM. Something I was also wondering is why there is a Google apps package while all Google apps are already installed with the regular Cyanogenmod package. Thanks for helping.

I do have Clockworkmod, so I can just install it without it affecting my Cyanogenmod negatively? (sorry if this is a dumb question, but this is all very new to me)

Yes, you can install gapps at anytime without reflashing or wiping. You need to have the rom installed and working anyway before you can install gapps because gapps contains the market and Google Account setup. Here is a nice link to the gapps for you. Also, you can install gapps at any point after flashing a rom.
I forgot to say, read this about why CM doesn't come preloaded with gapps. I don't know the actual proper reason in depth but I guess this is as close of an understanding as you'll get.
