Given the recent explosion of nightly users, I understand your need for a place to discuss them, and/or ask if other users are having similar issues as you...this is that place

  • DO NOT: Post to the bug tracker
  • DO NOT: Open another thread (I will enforce this with temp bans)
  • DO NOT: Think of this as official forum support; this thread will be strictly user to user support. Don't expect CM-dev help.
** These CyanogenMod builds are highly experimental and unsupported.
**
** Please refrain from submitting bug reports for any issues
** you may encounter while running one of these builds.
**
** Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
** cause of male impotence.

No bug reports ? Maybe this other (pinned) post should be edited ? : " [All Models] CyanogenMod 7 for Samsung Galaxy S Phones - EXPERIMENTAL ", since this thread says :

I'm getting a 403 error on the first nightly (here). An issue with the file? Or the server? Or just me? Error below:

Hi,

Just did a fresh new install of this rom 7-05152011
Build GRJ22
Kernal 2.6.35.7-g7623ac5
baseband unknown
Android 2.3.4

Issues
- not detecting phone network (o2 Ire)
- Camera black screen in recording
- Videos - no video sound working
- Power cycling and have to reboot (5 times since install)

I have not installed the gapps yet as wondering what to do next, some of the other threads said there was no problems with the radio so .....

Any help with this would be great as using an old palm pre now for phone.

Cheers in advance

---

Also tried to flash google aps via rom manager and after roboot nothing happens >:¬{
---
Finally flashed gapps manually and worked like a dream, now the auto reboot has not happened since, but then have been playing with the phone a good bit so not too sure if its been resolved.  But the issue with not getting onto to cell network still stands, now probably need different gsm radio can anyone point me??  Everytime I do a search in available networks  get error while searching >:¬{

Wouldn't bet too soon on that. What's the difference w/ the international I9000 / Captivate / Vibrant ?

BTW, when is the download meant to be available please ?

The main difference is in the Bluetooth and Touch Screen. Also, the I9000B has digital TV.

Update doesn't work on SGS i9000.

Checking state of BML/MTD
assert failed: run_program("/tmp/updater.sh") == 0
E:Error in /sdcard/cm_galaxysmtd_full.zip (Status 7)
Instalation aborted.

I was able to load the SGS file.... It's beuatiful however, its still experimental I see.  Odd is that I have a Captivate but since AI was running another 2.3.3 ROM and my phone was now a i9000 I couldn't use the Captivate stable version, even after a data wipe.  WILL probably go back to Stock etc.  But it was so nice to be able to switch between ROM's without all the other steps.  Anyway I found speed is amazing.
CAMERA. is cool however not as many SCN as with stock.  THIS camera has no NIGHT selection.
BACK KEYS AND SEARCH KEYS DO NOT WORK.
Can not gey gappps to load the Market app for the life of me.
Volume on media players do not work as the phone shows an icon as a headset. I guess I can't listen without a headset.

Excellent when the final version comes out, still a little buggy for a heavy use like me
ALso the auto-rotator ...   all over the place.  NO choice in the roll down window...

So is it now soon going to be true that GalaxyS will become a Stable supported handset on CyanogenMod?
From this sudden re-org, it makes me think that.

I installed the latest Nightly via the ROM Manager (wiped all data etc.) from Stock 2.3.3, everything works fine by now except I don't have an external sd card. It doesn't even show up in the storage management. The SD card works in other devices though. Any ideas?
