So, I'm having a revamp of the website and what with the new design ... going through all of the content.

The 'About' page is very dated and needs updating, what do you guys think should be there?

Suggestions are appreciated, and a collaboration of everyone's inputs will end up on the About page.

TIA.

history of CM, either a short bio of each member of the Cyan Team, or a link pointing to their twitter/bio page. Pretty much it. :)

You missed something in your list of "Firsts"... First Android ROM to be C&D'd by Google :-)

Maybe a list of what you can do with CM6 that you can't do with stock Android. I know this is in the change log, but some newbies don't look there... lol

thanks for all your work on the site... by far the best and easiest Android forum/site to use from my N1, which is shocking that more sites aren't build with that in mind but oh well, great work!

A great idea. At first I didn't know the simple advantages of CM6, and had a bit of gambling when I flashed it. After that, I could tell my experiences to a few friends with android phones, and most of them began to consider or went to grab the files.

Some simple facts, like the many modes you can customise your UI or some sample screenshots is what I would go for...

A great idea. The changelog, however, is not a replacement for a feature list for a few reasons:
  • it's too detailed for a new user and has obscure or useless information for new users (e.g. "nano, and libncurses are now built from source. - cvpcs")
  • only covers the last two releases
  • doesn't list features, but changes

I'd like to see features listed by category, against the standard ROM, something like this:

System
  • busybox
  • etc.

Pre-installed apps
  • Superuser, torch, File manager, ...

Audio enhancements
  • equalizer

Camera enhancements
  • continuous autofocus while shooting video
  • tap-to-focus
  • stable shot mode

International support
  • languages supported: Arabic, etc.
  • RTL scripts

Trackball enhancements
  • colored notification (is this in the standard ROM already? I haven't installed it in over a year)

Network
  • OpenVPN support
  • etc.

etc. People who know more about CM could easily add details to the list above.

Closing this one in favor of the one I just opened (using dandv's list); which has actual progress :) (ciwrl pokes at SatanR1)
