I also noticed that in flashing #62 that I had to manually re-flash gapps (0503 version)  maybe the gapps restore script doesn't no about the newest version?

Where can I find gapps 0503 ??

I have a Malata Zpad and since there is no 'Harmony' sub-forum thought I would ask here. I've tried the last few nightly builds and they work great except that audio streaming over CIFS is very choppy. I'm using the latest Pershoot O/C GB kernel and cifs.ko from the associated lib. With the same setup on Froyo audio streaming over CIFS is perfect but choppy on CM7 and the other Ginger roms I have tried. Any ideas?

I'm confused.  I flashed 62 yesterday and it identified itself as Android 2.3.4.  Then I flashed 7.0.3 and its back to Android 2.3.3.  I'm assuming that the build is still fluctuating between versions, but still strange.  Also, does anyone know where to find the changelog for 7.0.3?  The official changelog makes no mention of it.

The nightlies are on 7.1 branch (2.3.4) as of ~1 week ago. So you downgraded to 7.0 (2.3.3) branch by flashing that release.

Thanks!  I just now saw the Twitter link on the first page of this thread.  No Tweeting at work so I'll have to check it out later.  And thanks so much for the info about the nightlies.  I'll have to flash back so that I can feel new and fresh.

Edit: Oops, forgot I have a smart phone.  Tee hee, so I looked at the Twitter post and it specifically says that we shouldn't flash 7.0.3 on top of nightlies!  Oops.  Well I did and haven't suffered any consequences as of yet.  I also made a post in the Stable Forum so that we can spread the awareness on this.  I didn't see any other warnings besides the Twitter post.

Edit 2: OK, just flashed nightly 63 over 7.0.3 and everything seems alright so far.

Happily running nightly 63 here.

A few niggles:
It goes to deepsleep when it's mounted as a USB drive, I have to tap the screen every so often to keep it awake.

My Home and Search hardbuttons do nothing, is that just me? I admit I have deleted quite a few .apk from the .zip before flashing so perhaps I deleted one too many .apk. I'll have to test if deleting Quickseachbox.apk broke the Search hardbutton but I dont know what would possibly break the Home hardbutton.

Hard buttons work for me.  You're a brave person deleting APKs before flashing.  Which ones did you remove and why?  Have you seen this list?  It tells you what can and cannot be removed and has been helpful to me on several occasions.

Well crud, I'll have to figure out which apk programs those two buttons.

I've been removing apk before flashing ever since I first started booting xdandroid on my touchpro, I find it simpler to do pre-flash than post-flash.
Here's a list of what I nuke. I dont care for anything theme/wallpaper related, am I the only one who likes a plain solid color background? I'm also deaf, so /media/* and tts/voice/speech-related gets nuked. The rest is just byte-sucking clutter.
system/app/Androidian.apk
system/app/CMStats.apk
system/app/CMUpdateNotify.apk
system/app/CMWallpapers.apk
system/app/Cyanbread.apk
system/app/DSPManager.apk
system/app/DeskClock.apk
system/app/Development.apk
system/app/Email.apk
system/app/LiveWallpapers.apk
system/app/LiveWallpapersPicker.apk
system/app/MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk
system/app/Mms.apk
system/app/Music.apk
system/app/Phone.apk
system/app/PicoTts.apk
system/app/Protips.apk
system/app/QuickSearchBox.apk (tried putting it back, didnt fix Search button)
system/app/RomManager.apk
system/app/SoundRecorder.apk
system/app/SpareParts.apk
system/app/TelephonyProvider.apk
system/app/ThemeChooser.apk
system/app/ThemeManager.apk
system/app/TtsService.apk
system/app/VisualizationWallpapers.apk
system/app/VoiceDialer.apk
system/app/VpnServices.apk
system/etc/CHANGELOG-CM.txt
system/etc/NOTICE.html.gz
system/etc/permissions/android.hardware.telephony.gsm.xml
system/etc/permissions/android.software.live_wallpaper.xml
system/media/*
system/tts/*
system/usr/srec/config/en.us/grammars/VoiceDialer.g2g

I also trim the gapps .zip but that one's easy.

So my $64k question is which one of these files is responsible for programming the Home&Search buttons...

Well ya darn stumped me on that one.  None of that seems super crucial.  The old trial and error method may be required.  Can you confirm that they are working in other ROMs that you similarly dissected? :)  Or maybe some of you button bindings are screwy.

I'll do it step by step when the next nightly comes out. Flash stock, test, remove one apk, flash, test, rinse, repeat.

I see that the Phone app is still installed even after removing Phone.apk and TelephonyProvider.apk. Some poking around and it looks like it's installed with Contacts.apk. Whut?

Contacts.apk could contain the dialer portion and maybe phone.apk just handles the placing of the actual call.  Weird stuff, much of it is still a mystery to me.  But talk about mysteries, I just jailbroke/unlocked a friend's Iphone.  That was weird!  I'll be happy to be rid of the thing.

Tried to break the nightly 64 with my apk-stripping. The buttons work fine now, so.... must have been a quirky flash that broke them somehow.

Running #62 with 0503 gapps.  While most things are working quite nicely my gtalk video doesn't work at all - it never connects to a video enabled contact (normal typing chat works fine).  As far as Vtok is concerned, it works both directions but my gtab camera sends my video sideways to my contacts.  Anyone else run into either of these?

I'm running Nightly 64, and my Youtube app won't play any videos.  I just get "There was a problem while playing. Touch to retry".

I've tried clearing data as well as uninstalling/reinstalling.

Youtube videos will play in a browser okay still.

Anyone have any ideas?

It worked for you in previous nightlies?  I would try uninstalling Youtube and reinstalling.

Anyone have luck with mouse pointers? I just flashed nightly 65, but the mouse (wireless) doesn't work. The keyboard does though (wireless).

EDIT: My scroll wheel is working too. Hmm. (I'm using an SIIG wireless keyboard if that matters.)

@jpmi23
Try the apk below to toggle the pointer on and off.  Some bluetooth combo mouse/keyboards don't report themselves as mice.  The code to fix this is up in review, should be arriving to the nightlies in a couple of days.

I have tried that.  It wasn't working on the previous one either, which I believe was 60.  Not sure about before then.

Guys what are the major differences between the nighties and the stable 7.0.3 release?  Also is nightly 67 a good nightly to flash?
