Hi there!

When I was testing the nightlies releases, my gps was working perfectly. Than, with RC2 or RC4 (don't remember) I was not able to use it. I did what everyone says, flash a new radio and it started to work again. When I flashed a new nightlies, it stopped to work once more.

I decided to install Blayo rom to see if the gps was fine there and it works really quick (a couple of seconds to have the satellite locked). I tried again cyanogenmod, nothing works. I did install the stable release this morning, no progress and i than reflashed the radio again. Still nothing.

I know this problem have been discussed but I was wondering if we, the users, can do anything to help. I need my GPS so it's hard to keep CM for a couple of days, but I i could get some kind of procedures or a message telling that people are working on this, well, I would be happy.

So that's it. Thanks for the help and sorry for my english quality, I'm a french-canadian ;)

try flashing a different radio
depending on what you have now.

7.08.35.21 to 7.13.35.05
or
7.13.35.05 to 7.08.35.21

i had the same problem reflashed different radio and used faster fix by BERNARD BEKKER andriod market and the checked with Gps Test by CHARTCROSS also andriod market. and it worked fine for me.

legend radio 7.08.35.21 Here
legend radio 7.13.35.05 Here

1. Copy radio to root of sd card
2. Reboot into recovery mode (if the red ! icon appears the hold vol up and hit power)
3. Then when that loads goto the line with update.zip hit trackball
4. ClockworkMod recovery will load then goto install zip from sdcard
5. select your radio and install

I had the same problem with my Legend on version RC4.

I was able to fix it with installing the radio version 7.08.35.21: http://rapidshare.co...5.21_signed.zip
Just copied the HTC_LEGEND_RADIO_7._08.35.21_signed.zip to my SD card and installed the RADIO 7.8.35.21 with Rom Manager: "Install ROM from SD card"

Attention: Clockworkrecoverymod did not work anymore after the RADIO installation! I got alway the (!) screen when I wanted to start the recovery mode.

Solution:
-Download http://rapidshare.co....0.7-legend.zip put the file on your SD card (rename to update.zip)
-Turn off your phone and start it and make sure to push the power and back button
-Change to recovery mode --> (!) screen
-Push Volume Up and Power and then "Apply sdcard:update.zip"

GPS still works or even works better (faster) with the stable version. I went from RC4 directly to stable mod.

Sorry for my bad english!

When you update RADIO with ROM MANAGER you can choose to backup current ROM and/or flush cache and settings.
I did both (that means reset settings)...

Well, I flashed a couple of radio versions, it seems to work quite well now. I still need to try to use if for direction outside, but at least, it can locks to sattelite now and that's a goog start! ;)

NO you DONT have to.

*But there is an error with the GPS in the CM7 Stable with the compass. On google NAV your blue icon alway faces in the same direction. It has nothing to do with the Radio

i experienced some strange issues with the gps today, sygic not going smooth, icon going sideway or backwards losing all the satellites sometimes... a bit weird.

Edit: On XDA-Developers some users are experiencing this same issue. http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=776901 on last pages.

So you think the radio update will not repair this problem? My GPS works but the direction is allways wrong. But the Compass in Google Maps and in the compass app works.

This seems to be a problem for alot of ppl i have been doing alot of reading on this matter, However if it was the radio then all of the releases would have this problem but it is not present on some of the nightlys i didnt remember when i first notice, But i am sure it will be resloved soon.

After flashing CM7 final, GPS does not work at all, when opening GPS app, nothing shows in notification bar.

I flash 47.39.35.09_7.13.35.05 radio and now GPS icon does show up in notification bar... But I haven't been able to get a fix yet

What else can I try???
