Hi,
I'm using Cyanogen 7.0 stable on my Htc Wildfire. When I use an application which requires gps, simply it doesn't work: does not localize me. In Settings, gps localization is enabled.

Do you need some files or logs to help me to solve this problem? Just ask me.

I have this problem from early nightly builds I have used until now.

Thanks,
turlando.

Thank you very much for the answer. I've actually learned many things about android hacking issues (Rooting, Nandroid Backups, Flashing Roms, USB Debugging and etc), however, I've never understood this "Radio" thing. That would be really cool if you give some intro [ro links] about this topic and some guides or links about how to burn this file.

First of all, downgrading the Radio resolved the issue. I got the file Radio_13.53.55.24H_3.35.19.25.zip and installed that using CMR like normal flash updates.

I found out that CM7 on Wildfire uses Radio_13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10 by default. However, on some other places it is told that re-installing this Radio may fix the problem.

I can confirm this approach works. I've just downloaded it from http://rom.tat.tw/wi..._3.35.20.10.zip and things are working perfectly now. There must be some error in the way it is deployed in the latest Cyanogen...

I think the radio installation is not a part of the rom. You keep your radio even when you switch roms.

Will this radio image update work with a Wildfire CDMA as well. Thanks.

Any takers on this one. Current CDMA radio is 13.45.55.24H_3.35.15.31. Trying to assess if radio Radio_13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10 is compatiable with this CDMA phone.

Hi

I found the way to start the gps

I installed from market "GPSLive!v1.5" and used the -trasmit on- button/option and the gps start to work.

http://market.androi...kenbuzz.gpslive

looklike the option to start the gps is a missing in this mod version

How can I install / flash a Radio to my Wildfire.

Whenever I try to install a Radio Version from here via ClockWork Mod Recoverey it says "Installation aborted"
Actually I have the Radio Version 13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10 and CM 7.0.3 on my HTC Wildfire.

PS: Sorry for my bad English :/

I already had the current Radio, so flashing didn't seem reasonable.

I (finally) got GPS working using the free app "GPS Test" from Chartcross LTD.
1.) Enter the Settings Menu (Menu -> "Settings")
2.) "Clear AGPS"
3.) "Update AGPS"

Done :)

Well, that solution wasn't permanent - worked exactly once, and never again :(
So at the moment I'm stuck with the current Radio, and no GPS...

I noticed when WI-FI is on, GPS doesn't work, when WI-FI is off GPS works allmost everytime I turn on some aplication which uses GPS.
Maybe it's just on my phone, but you should try this to see if it is the case on all phones.

You have to download from market and run "Rom manager" from OS, just go to install ZIP from SD card and it will do the rest
