Hi,
I found that you are using libcamera2 for libcamera, why?
Kernel message shows that offset in msm_pmem_info is not page aligned and it is rejected by kernel, that's why preview is not working, isn't it?

I noticied that on my device, the font size of the "title" and the "from" fields in the Gmail App are really huge. Did I miss something in the settings or is that a CyanogenMod bug ?

I am pretty sure that it has to do with the app being designed for nexus one and other higher res devices. Same as the graphic problem in the market.

App2sd doesn't work yet. It will in next release as we fixed it upstream.

This comment should have been done here: http://github.com/lo.../issues#issue/7
Thank you.

True. We need MDPI gapps. And again google apps are not part of cyanogenmod.

Could it be possible to implement somehow if phone enters WIFI connectivity, to turn off 3G ?

In my area I get very bad 3G reception, yet the phone tries to stay on it despite being in WIFI available area at all times, wasting battery.

I have much better 2G coverage here, which is enough for making phone calls and data goes via faster WIFI anyway.

Another question is regarding WIFI - could it be possible to implement txpower settings for this interface?

Maybe if I'm very close (2-3 meters) from my access point, I can pull the txpower for the interface down via iwconfig, making the power consumption even lower?

I may be able to edit the Gapps (actually, I already corrected the Gmail app, but I can't test it until tonight), but I'm wondering, what is CyanogenMod's the community's position about editing the Gapps ? Is that really allowed or do we have to wait until Google publishes a version compatible with MDPI devices?

I believe this gapps version is for the HTC HERO GSM and not the Sprint version.  Is there a link to the CDMA version?

@Milad6923: If you have no idea about recovery and custom ROMs, maybe its better to start out with a stable ROM, not with this alpha release.

here is a good starter guide:

OK, so I tried my modified Gmail.apk yesterday, and it's still quite buggy, but at least, I know why ;). My main problem is that I can't get ADB to work with my Hero. It keeps telling me that it can't find the device. Has anyone succeeded in using ADB with CM6 on Hero ?

Only when (and I know this sounds crazy) I boot into recovery and flash a zip. Immediately after flashing has finished ADB works but when I reboot, it breaks again

I faced the same problem, my solution was, I use sudo to run the adb (I'm using Kubuntu).

sudo ./adb logcat
