I upgraded to CM7 right after if came out & love the new features, speed, & stability that it affords. The only issue I have noticed has to do with updating apps in the Market.
About 75% of the downloads will report that the download was unsuccessful, and then it will install, and everything is fine. The other 25% is made up of actual download install
failures (shows up with the triangle indicating failure) or ones that install with no issues at all.

Just wondered if anyone has the same problem, and is there a fix for the issue?

I am having the same problem except all of my applications say "Download Unsuccessful"... it will not even let me authorize my Google Voice account, though everything else is fine (except I am without applications) -- I have tried rebooting and I'd rather not go through the process of wiping and re-flashing CM7. I've also searched the forums and just about tried every Market Fix from these threads:

I'll have to wait until I get home to try the rest as I don't want to drain my battery...

Great work though... it is quite the beautiful ROM. I loved CM6 ;)

I had a similar problem when I downloaded all the Google Apps when I first started up CM 7 and a few times with CM 6.1.  For the problem came when I tried to download multiple apps at once or update several at a time.  I just let one app download and install at a time and it worked fine for me.  You could try that and see if it works, it not it might be some bigger issue I really don't know how to solve for you.

I ended up updating my clockwork mod, wiping all data, caches and davlik included, restoring CM6 (got stuck in a boot loop), then booted back into recovery mode, cleared all data/cache again, then re-installed CM7 and Gapps and went through the entire process of setting up my phone all over again... so far so good... everything is downloading right now with no apparent problems...

I hope something works for you Skimark! And thank you Texas for your input. :)

I traced the download/install unsuccessful problem. Here is what I got:

-Downloading device specific apps (or apps that associate with your phone's IP address) on Wifi will cause a download unsuccessful error. Apps I found that had problems downloading over Wifi: Rom Manager and Words with Friends (Fix: download using 3G)

-Updating apps that you have moved to the SD Card have problems updating on their own. You must move the apps back to your phone, update them, then move it back to your SD Card.

Those are the two problems I have come across. I'm sure there are more apps that can fall under the first problem that I mentioned but those are the two apps I have that have this problem.

Ok, I am a total newb and what I have found may be totally wrong, or maybe just that simple. I just flashed to 7 stable on my Sprint Hero, everything was working OK but the Market. When downloading I kept getting the same fail as everybody else, after searching and not finding any easy fix I was going to try the reflas fix when i decided to try the market 1 more time. when it opened it opened the setup screen or whatever it is where it states "this message will not be displayed again this set-up is to install basic google aps from the market" I remembered I had denied it before when I first set the phone after the flash and told it to remind me later. I accepted a handful of teh aps I wanted like google maps, voice, and a couple others and hit the download or go button, and it took me to each item in the market where I downloaded them and it worked! I then tried a couple other apps and they worked just fin as well.

So in short I am not sure what or if that accepting the Google downloads had to do with anything but when I did it, it worked.

Maybe somebody else can give this a try and see if it is a fix or a fluke.

Nearly all of my downloads from the market lately report that the Download was unsuccessful. It doesn't matter if it is an update or a new download or multiple or single downloads. However, if I just ignore the failed download message and do nothing about 90% of the time it successfully installs anyway. Don't rush to correct a failed download so quickly and you might find out it worked after all.

If it does actually fail than doing the failed updates one at time has always fixed it for me.
