okay so about 30 min ago i updated my phone from cyanogenMod 5 to version 6.1.0 because 5 has bugs, im now dealing with what seams to me that my phone is hanging up on the CyanogenMod screen splash thing....the little phantom thing goes around the CyanogenMod logo and fades out then bounces back. i have been at this for about 15 min after flashing cyanogen 6 from my sd card from boot and google apps like the wiki instructions said and even before i flashed the new ROM on my phone i did a system restore/wipe... so im wondering is this normal or did i just flush 150 bucks down the drain:( P.s if this matters its a HTC magic 32B also as i was typing i pulled the battery to re boot..... thanks to all in advanced

Seems a lot of people are having problems booting up Cyanogen 6, including me. I have a HTC Magic 32a, though. But as this is an old phone, it seems support for it has diminished both officially and from the community, which is understandable. I'm in the process of getting a new phone by now, since my old Magic won't be getting the latest versions anymore, and since CM6 failed to install.

Have you upgraded your radio? I have a 32b and the same thing happened to me when I went to 6 ( then constant reappearance of the cyanogen boot logo) and I finally found a forum post where they said to upgrade the radio to go to 6. You can get it from Here. This is the one I used, just boot into recovery mode, flash this, flash CM6 then flash Google Apps (if desired). fixed the boot loop for me.
Hope this helps!

DO NOT INSTALL THE FILE KEITH POSTED: myTouch-radio-2_22_23_02.zip
It completely destroyed my HTC Magic. Recovery mode doesn't work any more. Fastboot doesnt work any more. When I connect to PC by USB cable phone is not recognized by Windows and I cant use any tools from android SDK. Not only it didn't solve the bootloop problem, but killed every method of recovery from bootloop situation!

Zielak,
were you able to recover from this.
I did something similar with my 32A Magic.
