Given the recent explosion of nightly users, I understand your need for a place to discuss them, and/or ask if other users are having similar issues as you...this is that place

  • DO NOT: Post to the bug tracker
  • DO NOT: Open another thread (I will enforce this with temp bans)
  • DO NOT: Think of this as official forum support; this thread will be strictly user to user support. Don't expect CM-dev help.
** These CyanogenMod builds are highly experimental and unsupported.
**
** Please refrain from submitting bug reports for any issues
** you may encounter while running one of these builds.
**
** Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
** cause of male impotence.

Does anyone know about that? I use GPS frequently.

So happy we are in!

See this link:

http://www.cyanogenm...-series-support

Specifically this line - "All of the hardware of the devices should be in proper working order and you can expect the official nightlies to roll out tonight."

So I'm guessing yes :D fingers crossed anyway.

Thanks a lot for your work and reply. I think it is really a tough job without Samsung GB update.

The Google apps are the property of Google. They will not be part of any CM release. (I am not a team member, but I have seen this question and answer many times.)

GREAT JOB TEAM!

I use gps frequently as well, and would love support for it. Until its in, unfortunately I must wait. I was so hoping @kmobs meant they were fixing it behind the scenes and were trying to make a splash with it fully working. I thought to get on CM official you had to have hardware issues worked out? Thanks for all your hard work team, I know you will get it and I will be rocking CM7 in a few days!

vibrant nightly build update.zip is corrupted or not properly working - we are awaiting an update on the nightly, or in the alternative, a new nightly.

GREAT JOB TEAM!

That's all well & good, but I can't get the gapps package to successfully install. It goes through the motions, and says "installation successful," but the apps are not there after reboot. I've tried wiping dalvik & not, and have tried doing it from within rom manager & also by manually downloading the package & rebooting into clockwork. no luck at all!

about to wipe EVERYTHING & reflash cm7 (after the phone finishes charging). hopefully that will work. I'll report back either way.

thanks

Whenever I try installing the Google apps, I get "Installation Unsuccessful" for all of them. Happening to anyone else?

GPS is not functional yet, but progress is being made. build 0 will not flash successfully, next ones should work though.

WOOHOO!
So i finally flashed CM7, everything is working, its stable etc.
Music does not work though.
A 3rd party app like PowerAMP see's my music files, as does Root Explorer, but the default Music app doesn't see it. It just stays blank, i've removed all the mp3 files, then re-added them all.
No effect at all.

Anyone else facing these problems?
Also this is with the NEW one, the -1 Version, so..
anyone else has this?

Perhaps you have a nomedia file in that folder. Copy the mp3 files to a new folder and check again.
