Can anyone tell me why Facebook deletes itself from the Accounts & Sync option on the motorola milestone.  could it have anything to do with me running cyanogen mod 7?

It will randomly do it.  all of a sudden ill go into my contacts and all my facebook contacts will be gone and i have to go into the Facebook app under its settings and Sync it again, and then merge all my contacts manually yet again.

Yup, move to phone, reboot, then see if it happens again. Mine's working fine.
