Has there ever been a solution found for the cause of why I cant receive messages from random numbers after rooting? Im not reffering to MMS as that works. I just cannot receive texts at all from a select number of contacts

Interesting. the posts I have seen about this issue had all said the people they didn't receive texts from were former Alltell customers. Do you know if that happens to be the case with any of your non receivables?

It isn't former alltel customers. My friend got sprint after the switch where he didn't get messages from me on cm till he switch to android. Which now he gets them fine on the evo shift.

This isn't a problem with rooting though I don't think. As on a sense rom he got them fine.

I believe that is how it is actually. Been awhile since I had the issue. Though as I said him and his woman didn't either get them or I just didn't get them. Actually think it was I didn't get them back. This was also a issue with another friend but don't think he had sprint.

Where the friend and his woman switched to the htc evo 4g shift from dumb phones. Works fine on cm and miui now. Then the other one got a samsung something android. Which is also fine now.

Edit: Not sure if that helps or not but from that it looks like only a issue with people on non android phones. If not this was my case.
