I just flashed the newest nightly and its fixed now but I will keep that file around just in case. The one that Superuser downloaded yesterday wouldn't even install in recovery.

You can not zoom on 5mp with any camera that's 5mp (phone that is) and if you do then its not truely 5mp.

I meant that the camera takes a very long time to capture regardless if I zoom in or not. Every camera app seems to struggle capturing a photo and sometimes even force closes unless I set it to a lower resolution it gets slightly faster.

yes of course the higher the resolution your photo will be the longer it takes to be processed and the addition of our lower proc spee.. try using camera 360 the more effects you put the more time it would take to process :D

I have switched 2 different SIM cards.
Tryed to save SMSC number on old Nokia phone but allways same error.
Is this something wrong with phone or with ROM?

I have the french version of the motorola dext, which has an azerty keyboard. This means that 2 pairs of letters are inverted (a&q, w&z). How (if at all) can I change the default keymap for the physical keyboard?
Thanks.

Try the market. It should have been with one of the gapps you installed though.

Does anyone know how to save conf bridge details on cliq?

Often i have to join conference bridges where i need to dial a bridge number, then enter a pin number.
On blackberry you could save both the numbers in one contact. I dont see such a feature in android (cliq)
any idea?

Thanks!
Manu

is there any chance that the cliq will get wifi calling? My friend is only willing to root his phone if he can get the t-mobile wifi calling app on his phone.

Wifi calling requires a hardware component that the cliq does not have.

A Hack to increase 3G and EDGE Speeds of the device.

    Added these lines to the bottom of ROM's build.prop. Which can be found under '/system/build.prop'.

ro.ril.hep=1
ro.ril.hsxpa=2
ro.ril.enable.dtm=1
ro.ril.gprsclass=12
ro.ril.hsdpa.category=8
ro.ril.enable.a53=1
ro.ril.hsupa.category=5
ro.ril.enable.3g.prefix=1

Then, reboot the phone to apply the change.

Anyone else having issues with the screenshot function not working in the latest nightly? 28 I think it is. It seems to work until it goes to store the screenshot then I get an error stating "error:mnt/sdcard/tmpshot.bmp(no such file or directory). Anyone get this or know how to fix it.

Hi guys,

I've moved over to CM7 from adlxmod onto the 14/7/11 nightly build. First impressions are very very good. Really fast, stable and smooth. The biggest issue I have so far is the battery life. I went from 100% to empty in only 7 hrs! Previously, on adlxmod I was able to use the phone all day and still have about 30-50% battery. I removed all unnecessary apps and tweaked the battery and data usage with JuiceDefender and a task manager but still no joy. I completely appreciate that it's a nightly build and Gingerbread wasn't meant for the dext/cliq, but I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issues?

#EDIT#
After some digging around the forums and the internet it seems that ADWLauncher could be the culprit for murdering the battery. I've managed to force uninstall ADW and installed LauncherPro and so far the battery life has been much improved. I'll update on what happens after some more testing.

So far so good. Only critical bug encountered: when the screen is locked, sliding open the keyboard or unlocking the screen when they keyboard is already opens forces a reboot. If this was fixed, this rom would be near perfect. It is more stable than CM6 was on my G1 by far. Good work.

I upgraded thee wife from the cliq to a G2 a while back due it being a terrible device as far as software and lack of great dev support,  not to sound unthankful. I saw this and instantly charged her up ans flashed away. I am rather impressed how good the rom runs and am glad to have a reliable backup phone
