I flashed the lastest 07162010 but I didn't see a remarkable change, except for the ADW update (ver 1.0.1 now). And ADWLauncher is awesome with the Gala S theme!

I also have a MMS recetion problem. I changed the user agent to nexusone, I can send MMS as normal. But when someone send me a MMS, the message just displays "downloading" and doesn't display the picture or whatever attached to the MMS. Weird!

I had this after unlocking the first time (not a CM endeavor). I just had to add 80 as the MMS port in the carrier settings. This was on AT&T. It was blank. Maybe settings need adjusted for your carrier?

Just installed cm_passion-07172010-001503.zip - works fine.

I was wondering if this solution could be applied by default http://forum.xda-dev...08&postcount=13 - otherwise market is really slow (I'm in the UK).

Hi,
i've just installed cm_passion-07172010-001503.zip (coming from RC1), but Metamorph now still shows me the statusbar in grey, even with the Black Desire Theme, that worked before, with rc1.
No problem with mms.

flashed 07172010 from RC1, it has been working flawlessly for me. I am using the new 5.08.00.04 radio AT&T and it seems to be working considerably better than before (maybe a placebo effect).

Flash cm_passion-07172010-053814.zip - works fine. Though I've noticed that if you move certain apps to SD and have shortcuts on home screen, they no longer show the icon.

I think it's a problem of Froyo's app2sd methode

7/16 nightly kept rebooting on me whenever I use doggcatcher (podcast app) to download podcasts. 7/15 was much more stable for me. Hopefully 7/17 will be better.

Go into settings and force stop the launcher

Hmm... Seems to work. But do I have to do this every time I reboot the phone? That's when the icons disappear.

Seems to be an adw launcher issue from what I understand, doesn't see the froyo apps2sd app icons. I have to force stop after reboot

I find latest nightly more stable. On every nightly, no need to wipe.

The nightly variants are not typically meant for day to day use. They are nightly releases for a reason and are technically more buggy than any official release. There is not a ROM updater for the nightlies and it is typically recommended to wipe before each installation, due to their nature for testing.

If your phone is working fine with RC1, I'd leave well enough alone and just use it as is. If you're having issues with it, using a Nightly wouldn't hurt to test.

Either way, ensure you have backups and just try it if you want.

I'm noticing a problem with the brightness sensor now while calling, if I remove my phone from near my head the screen turns on but then it turns off again for like a second just to turn back on. Not sure if it was on the version I was using before.

Nightly version for 2010-Jul-18

As of the 07/17/10 nightly, MetaMorph has been broken.

I attempted to grab some details, to help diagnose the problem.

Here is the first part of the logcat, not sure it is relevant.

http://unforgiven512...in.com/TiMNcAnX

And this is the part where it really shows, while applying a morph.

http://unforgiven512...in.com/4CkKHDkk

I'm thinking the error is occuring at lines 8, 18, etc...

D/zip ( 1043): fopen failed: 30

This is really quite frustrating because stock looks kinda bland, in my opinion.

I hope this helps to solve some issues. If you need me to do any further investigation, send me a PM.

EDIT: Also, not sure if this is relevant or not, but MetaMorph doesn't do its startup checks anymore. And also, I've tried clearing its data/cache from Manage Applications. No luck.

No reception issue with the mms for me. I use handcent maybe that's why. My apn is SFR.

Try applying any metamorphs before changing anything else.

I changed the notification bar to black, and then no morphs would work. I wiped, reinstalled, applied morphs successfully, and then changed the bar to black, and everything worked fine.
