New Gapps for CM7: http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ compatible with Clockwork and Amon_RA
Its tiny version, less than 5mb size. Kinda good as market gapps are omitted.

Whatever happened to gridlocks builds not seen one since the 11th
Gridlock tweeted a few days ago that he was thinking about not compiling N1 builds as Fitsnugly is already doing the same thing, which makes sense. Why use up bandwidth compiling something someone else is making? I guess he decided to do it.

Just get the latest unofficial nightly from Fitsnugly here: http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=883605

How do you make that window come up that allows you to select from a list of gapps to install?? I noticed it when I first went to CM7

How about the new HBOOT for Gingerbread? Can I do a nandroid of my CM6.1.1, then upgrade HBOOT, add a CM7 build and try that, and IF I don't like it, switch back to my CM6.1.1 nandroid?

Or is the Hboot not included in the nandroid backup? I'm using RA recovery 2.2.1 2.1.1 (or something.... wtf...how many versions are there now....).

EDIT: NOW I use 2.2.1. =)

Ok. Question: This new hboot. Is that something that comes with GB and that is the same for all future phones with HB, or is it something that is just "hacked out" from Nexus S, and that will be something else for the stock rom for Nexus One?

Are there many apps that doesn't work on GB yet?

And does it work to go back to CM6.1 after trying CM7?

And, if I doesn't wipe before installing CM7, do I still have to reflash Gapps?

EDIT: And what/where is the HBOOT to be used, and the latest build of CM7? =) Maybe some kind of short guide for flashing the HBOOT to. =)

I try to answer your questions Posted Image

What is HBOOT? For GB its "suppose" to be mandatory to use that new HBOOT I believe.
- A quote from somewhere
"Think of it like the bios of a PC. Not exactly correct, but the analogy works. Hboot allows you to boot into recovery, which once rooted and flashed with a custom recovery, allows you to load custom roms perform backups, restores, wipes and a bunch of other utilities.Just like the BIOS of your computer, it can't be deleted. Even if it can, there's certainly no way to do it accidentally. It's party of the phone's basic architecture"

Are there many apps that doesn't work on GB yet?
- Yes, the app dev need to update their apps. But most, if not all apps/games I used have no issues.

- Yes, you nid to reflash gapps even if u do not wipe before installing CM7. Take note not all users have successfully upgrade w/o a wipe. If unsuccessful, be prepared to WIPE.

Thanks. You don't have a link to the hboot and the best version of CM7?

I finally got the new market to work, but it did require a full wipe. For some reason whenever I tried to flash it in the past, it left remnants of the old market still there. I think that is the reason for all the fc.

1. Flashed hboot.
2. Flashed CM7
3. Flashed Gapps-gb
4. Flashed market 2.2.11

Now I have CM7.

Questions:
1. Is there a default GB launcher now? No ADW? Or is it the new version (paid?) of ADW? No, still ADW, no paid.
2. Is it still possible to customize the color of the drop downed notify bar? My black I had before is gone by default...

EDIT: WTF, I'm missing the gmail app, even though I flashed Gapps-gb.

Adw is still the default launcher but I use:  Adwlauncher EX (paid app). Fantastic!

Customize notify bar not yet ready.

Still I love cm7!

Edit: new gb gapps is tiny version. It excludes any gapps that are found in market.

Hmm,...that's bad..then I have to redownload all that ****? What if I want it as system apps then?

EDIT: Is it possible to flash the Gapps from the 2nd post here, http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=883605 that isn't the tiny version? And then maybe flash the tiny?

Ok. Instead of the tiny version?

Btw, shall the screen of animation work on N1? Mine doesn't.

spare parts change animation speed to normal.

Before gb tiny gapps, there were 2 separate gapps meant for specific recovery ie, clockwork and amon recovery. Till tiny gapps came along that can be flash with either recovery.
