Hi Everyone
I am running CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1 on HTC Desire GSM in the UK.
I have purchased an IMEI unlock code which seems successful when I enter it into the phone but I get no network coverage (I am moving from Orange to Vodafone).
I have read that CyanogenMod doesn't support the network unlock and that I have to flash back to a stock rom, is this true?
If so can you point me to a stock ROM that I can download?
Thanks in advance

Why not restore to the nandroid backup you made before flashing a new rom (you did make one didn't you?) and then run the unlock software!

Or just download the unlock utility from xda developers and unlock your phone? I hope you did not pay for the unlock code...

I used this [http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=943726] and Orange, Three and Vodafone SIMs work nicely on my CM7.1.

You purchased an unlock code????
Somewhere there's something that you burn to a CD and boot up your PC with it and it unlocks it.

The unlock app you are looking for can be downloaded at
http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=943726
and is an excellent piece of software that seems to work for most (and you don't even need to be rooted to use it!).
It is in the form of a Windows .exe file that you run once connected by USB (you need to be booted in to HBoot mode - hold down the down volume button while turning on your phone).
Unfortunately, I too had purchased an unlock code before I discovered this..... Doh!

Hi there,
I too have a HTC Desire GSM which is flashed with CM 7.1 (Vodafone UK)
I've tried the SIM unlock with the software above and everything seemed to go fine, but the Orange SIM card I have installed is still locked. (Emergency calls only).
Is there something else I should have done? I don't want to flash back to the stock ROM because I'm lazy :-)
Any help would be most appreciated!

Hmmm. I'd give it another go, it took me a few tries before it said that it was successful, you may have unplugged your phone a bit early. If that still doesn't work, I'd post on the XDA thread. More people will see it there
