JassyCliq has made a CM7 azerty update for the French users who need the keyboard. Without futher ado here it  is. Keep in mind that this is a test and improvements possibly in the future. This is a ROM and you will need to wipe dalvic before flashing. I've heard a rumor that it may be coming in a stand alone zip to be used with any version of CM7 on the cliq/dext but we will see, for now this will give you a taste of CM7 with azerty. If you like slip on over to simply android and give him a thanks.
If it gets updated myself or someone else will update here.

Usual disclaimer--> you are doing this to your phone..no one else..so you are taking full responsibility...so make a backup before flashing

Currently having issues with this patch do not flash. Also we are currently working on a way to make azerty possible without having to flash anything extra. We have a good start, all we need to do is actually have it written out, once that is done it will be pushed to be merged with CyanogenMod source.

Thank you @JassyCliq...got back from travelling and read on simply android that it wasn't working properly. My appologies to anyone who tried to flash this..I should have tries it first before posting here...lesson learned...

Don't worry bro i doubt you use azerty so its not your job to try everything we post

Hello,

I need help. Since version nightly-104 (here), the AZERTY patch doesn't work anymore.
After applying through the recovery, the terminal stay on the bootanimation.

Please, do you have a solution?

Ngiordano has posted new updated patches for azerty and multi touch that will work with the new nightlies. They are located in his thread on simply-android.com dealing with CM7.

I have an old build (nightly #16) that works well (which is why I never updated ) do you think this this patch will work ?

Hello,

I've just installed CM7 on my Dext and it works rather fine (Wifi is not, but I'll try a nightly like said in another thread of this forum).
But, I've got an azerty keyboard and my real problem is that it seems the patched mentioned here has been removed from all the sites ; it seems it was removed after megaupload was taken down.

Is there any other place I can find this patch ?
