Can anyone please help me to port or can port the cyanogen mod 7 to micromax a70. I can also upload the original ROM if required. Actually it really requires cyanogen, because it is not able to utillise all its potential. It scored just 450 in quadrant benchmark while zte blade, optimus one with the same specs with cyanogen mod were able to score above 1000.
Please Help Me.

Did you get to install CM? Does it upgrade the Android version from 2.2 ???
Planning to get A70 tomorrow. IF this works, it will be a rocking time for me...

Good news is that A70 can be rooted and there is a custom ROM avaiable from PlayfulGod, he is very hard working guy.. and he put some good efforts doing that... however, this custom ROM has problems with WiFi.. it is not working... though he claimed that he has fixed this.. i tried it for sometime but i felt the stock ROM works better then this custom ROM.
another bad thing about this custom ROM is, he has added very Sad bootanimation.. that sucks!
i hope he will put some more efforts and will do a BIG FAVOR to all A70 owners.
here is the link for custom ROM : http://playfuldroidz...le=Micromax_A70
Note: till this moment I've not seen anywhere, that CYNOGENMOD is available for micromax A70. i know it is very disappointing but... you have to live with it.

Techenclave Forum has disapproved my membership becoz they think their views are the best. well I completely agree with HIMRAJ13. custom roms are not made quiet easy to make. PlayfulGod has tried but failed in my opinion since he uploaded the version without even testing the basic needs of android. such as Wi-Fi, Vibration and Haptic Feedbk, etc. well may be wants to earn fame and name quickly. anyways, I recommend not to use that ROM, it is not safe. I did it and had to micromax service guys for the stock ROM. cyanogenmod dosnt works out either in this phone. so leave it as it is, try some market apps that tweaks some basic unnecessary features, which u dnt need. thats all. dont disappoint urself by expecting that " 2.2.1 will become 2.3 " with some custom ROM.
if u guys need to knw anything about this phone then post here , i will try to help u out.
Take Care.
P.S. - Micromax has promised GingerBread update , but may be in the mid 2012. So cross ur fingers and hope it comes soon.
