On average On cm7 stable I get 40 hours + depending on usage and my settings... If I undervolt I can go over 55 hours. Everybody always trys to call me on this forcing me to post a SS but cant this time on mikG right this second testing a theme for someone...

Yeah I have an awesome version of message unread count with blue text/clear background/blue bubble... Works awesome and looks awesome.
If you want it just pm me...

I liked it and the timer/alarm/etc widget it had when you clicked on it...

Yeah I have a modified version done on xda if your using adw it will go 3 of them across the screen. I actually have a few versions of it that work well... One with the widget, this particular version doesnt have the widget but you can set want you want it to open.

No cyanogens dialer does not have that feature. There are some third party dialer apps that will do this though.  They are in the market, dialer one and go contacts. But you can sync Facebook to your contacts. Cm7 is a great rom and allows for alot of customization. Stock sense on evo is trash and I was happy to get away from it. If this is your first time flashing you should really follow this guide for a flawless experience.

http://forum.cyanoge...-info-included/

Thanks for the response, so I took the plunge and flashed it to the latest stable build, I used the instructions from the sticky from the first post.

http://forum.cyanoge...031-5-may-2011/

I am really liking the build and am happy so far, the only thing I am missing is the Sense clock but I am sure I can kind another out there.  What calendar app are you using?

I am having no battery or GPS issues :)

@4n7h0ny - I use the paid launcher pro cal widget.  Needless to say I use launcher pro too :)  Super jealous you got gps to work...but give it time, I'm sure it'll fail :P

@pneuma - would you please elaborate a tad on your settings?  You're getting over five times the battery life I'm getting so I'm curious what the specific differences are because I'm jealous!!!.  gps on?  wifi on?  auto sync on?  what kernel?  undervolt settings? etc, etc.

I don't miss anything about Sense what-so-ever.

I used that Sense Dark for a while, and yeh...it was just "ok".

Beautiful Widgets on the other hand....well worth the price.

Try this out, it mimics the Sense clock and you can set it up so when you click on the clock it open up the alarm app.

Don't feel to jealous, my WiMax radio is not working so I can't connect to 4G :(  It turns on and connects to the network but I can't pull any data. I'm looking for a solution to this at the moment.  Also my GPS works but it seems to always be about 40 meters off or so.  Not really a big deal but it may cause me some problems in the future when I need my precise location.

Those were good features, but I enjoyed it more for the weather animations. It's dope as hell to unlock and see your screen covered in clouds, or rain, or see blinding UV rays shoot from a pixelated sun directly into your cornea.

I tried BW & Fancy Widgets, but it just lacked that OOMPH to me. Customizing the skin was nice, but it also drained the hell outta battery for me.

I just flashed this GPS fix and now me GPS is locking immediately and perfectly accurate :)

Who uses their phone to talk?

Lesson learned : Found latitude was also giving me issues with constant wake locks.

It's something easily portable for bathroom computing.

Incidentally the latitude disabled had helped battery life a lot.  Almost 8 hours with at least 2 being heavy usage (im,  surfing,  fb)  and only at 40%

Not the case at all... I talk on my phone all day long actually for business purposes Im a gfx designer for a silkscreen business so we have lots of clients that are constantly complaining about this or that...

And honestly my "God Life" is a fluke Ive done nothing different than any of you honestly... The only thing I've done thats different than others is completely removed all odx files that sense leaves behind. Using a caulkins all in one wipe... Thats about the only difference and I run sbc... but it does seem like I have god life even on stock mikG htc kernel I get over 25 hours on medium usage... A1 was telling me he was getting 12 hours so yeah not sure what the deal is there... I dont let things run that dont need to be running thats about it oh and a screen off profile that helps also and undervolting.... Im about to try the v6 supercharger script heard that was good to..

Yeah my settings are as stated above I overclock/underclock on cm7 and I run savagedzen 2.1.0 with a screen off profile and I undervolt -75 using vipermod. I don't let anything run in the background and I dont let google pipeline my phone...EVER...Thats the only differences really. Its possible I have a different generation evo than you but I doubt it I only got it last December.  I don't have any android system usage problems if anything my display and my phone.apk are my battery drainers... Ive heard other people talk about having good battery life as well on a stock evo battery with sbc and undervolting.

switched to savaged zen 2.2.1 +cfs +havs - sbc and I got about 16 hours with 4 hours of netflix and an hour of heavy surfing and an hour of google navigation (not using setcpu).  that's a nice improvement I'd say!  going to try running with setcpu with a screen off profile to try and save more juice.
