FYI, camera not working in cm_hero-08082010-110132.zip...

Anyone tried the very latest: cm_hero-08092010-005002.zip ??

Just tried  - cm_hero-08092010-005002.zip

Not there yet, is it worth asking for a new build?

Just installed the latest nightly and it is working partly. When opening the camera app at first it will give you only a black screen. Then after taking one picture... whenever you tilt camera to the right or left it will update the preview.

Can't wait for the next nightly :-) with fully working camera.

How's battery life going?

I read Lox is on some other project for the moment and that he'll continue on the Hero build in a "few" weeks... Anyone knows how much a "few" weeks is?

Can I also know which gapps version you guys are using with these latest nightly builds? I'm using the latest one posted by Lox with voice support but the font size of the email headers in gmail are rather big...

You get such low MFlops because there is currently no OC in the Kernel, even though it shows its OCed.
That will be fixed soon (no OC in a stable kernel).

So how come some people are getting the high scores when running the same build? No one has mentioned flashing a separate kernel as far as I'm aware?

Hi,

I just tried FroydVillain 1.1.9 from Villainrom.co.uk with the Ninpo 1.2 kernel and got @ 729MHz a Linpack score of 5.13.
ROM is fast and based on the latest Cyanogenmod with camerafix... However, it comes with Launcherpro :-( and a leftover from Cyanogenmod settings menu. (it is a beta for the coming FroydVillain 1.2.0)

Going to wait for the coming nightly Cyanogen with the camera fix and then flash ninpo's kernel on it. It comes with an interactive governor and you need his CPUSpeed app. Well, don't know if you really need the app, could be it works fine with SetCPU or Overclockwidget.

So, don't know if it will work but here's what I'm going to try:

coming cyanogen nightly
ninpo's 1.2 kernel (19MHz-729MHz)
adb the CPUSpeed.apk in system/app

And hope it works, otherwise I'll revert back to nightly cyanogen.

Indeed, sorry for asking. Forgot to check on buildbot.

BTW, still on Froydvillain 1.1.9, ans so far:

- camera working fine
- battery life is great
- cpu performance is great

Had one spontaneous reboot after hanging up a call through my Bluetooth car kit. Have made 3 more calls after that one without problems.

Would Ninpo's kernel's work on CM6?

Also, why would the nightly 'make' fail? I'm just curious and looking to understand more about how they're built.

It failed because of this error:

make: *** No rule to make target `out/target/product/hero/obj/lib/libcamera_client.so', needed by `out/target/product/hero/obj/SHARED_LIBRARIES/libcamera_intermediates/LINKED/libcamera.so'.  Stop.

Thanks for that. Not entirely sure what that really means, but hopefully it will get resolved soon :)

Anyone else having problems with notification led's? Charging led works fine but when I get a message it just doesn't light up.

Thanks

Latest CM6 nightly with Ninpo 1.2 kernel is running just fine, even without the CPUSpeed app from Ninpo.
Linpack of 5.136 (19-729 kernel)

Of course, no camera yet...

Hope someone fixes the build process, so we can enjoy a CM6 with Camera and Ninpo kernel.

Me too. Most of the other devices all seem to have the nightly builds working and with the camera fixes, so it's annoying that the Hero is missing out.
