It seems like this area is dead but I am looking at installing cm7 for my t-mobile mytouch3g. Anyone try this out?

I would also like to use Cyanogen Mod 7...

Fastboot Info (Boot while holding End Call+Back Button):

* It has a 3.5mm audio jack but not the Fender design so I don't think it's a Fender, but perhaps it is this model?
* If I understand correctly then the SPL is 1.33.x right?
* Can I flash a radio image independently of the HBoot image?
* What range is acceptible for finding my ROMs (i.e. 1.33.x or does it have to be specific all the way down to the 1.33.0013)?
* I have read about someone bricking one of their phones because of a "perfected SPL" (if I understand this correctly it means it would give an error not allowing Fastboot Remote to be Allowed)... How can I test whether mine has a "perfected SPL" or not so I don't risk bricking it? (Note: I have read that loading ROMs will not brick your phone and is safe because it is recoverable, but I want to make sure this is the case. I think I understand that it's not like the BIOS, but like a secondary program loader or something so it's kinda like Grub or NTLDR but more data about this would be greatly appreciated.)
* What is the CPLD-13?
* It is a 32A board and has 288MB internal phone storage but also has the headphone jack which seems to make a difference with people's results however I keep seeing different variations between the different specifications listed and I don't know which ones need to be exactly the same and which don't, but I want to play it safe because I really like this phone.
* I want to install the latest and greatest of the mods and to root prior to doing so. So I ask... is Gingerbread the newest and best Android OS? What would some of the benefits be? Would this allow it to run faster or is it going to slow things down? I was looking into Cyanogen but I'm not sure I can use that with this phone.
* I have searched all over the place, but I am just having difficulty putting all the data together and could really use a hand from someone with more experience with this process.
* I've installed the Android SDK, Google USB Driver, and turned on USB Debugging and after running adb devices in the platform-tools (ADB.exe's file path is relocated to this directory in the new SDK). Here is the echo of the cmd shell:
List of devices attached
HT046PB05451 device
* I am running Windows 8 Developer Preview
* I've downloaded the Google Apps Bundle
* I have looked at different pictures trying to identify the phone and have noticed that the screen on mine looks long vertically (it doesn't have a slide out keyboard so I know it's not a slide model) and in the images I see it seems to look closer to squarish rather than a tall rectangle. I can't tell if that's just because the pictures were taken at an angle or if those are different models too.
* I live in San Diego, CA U.S.A. and the phone has the T-Mobile logo on the back and also a splash screen on startup of T-Mobile.
* So is it a Fender, a Sapphire, a Dream, a T-Mobile MyTouch 3G, an HTC Magic, an HTC G2 (or is it a G1?!), or what? I know it is probably going by multiple names, but please someone help me narrow this down as I have spent many days searching already and am frustrated. I'd just like to get this show on the road.
* My friend gave me this phone and it currently has no service and I have been using Google Voice with SIPGate to turn it into a WIFI VOIP phone via callback and love it, but I have to use multiple programs to get the whole thing to work with decent quality and it seems to run a bit sluggish. I am hoping this update could help with this and or if someone can point me in the direction of a good process manager or something to help me kill off/balance resources better for what I want to use it for when I want to use it for it. Also I would like to use it to watch streaming flash videos online and am wondering if there is added support for things like this out there or with these updates.
* I am new to posting and usually just lurk on forums, so please go easy on me. I don't have the status to post where I'd like on the XDA Developer's Forum yet so I'm not sure where this is going to go, but I'm just typing as much crap as I can think of up on WordPad and going to copy it somewhere in hopes of the magical superuser geek to help me out.
* Do I need to make a "Gold card" to root? (http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=548218)
* Possible upgrade instructions (http://www.allroundg...android-23.html)
* I am also into music production (mainly synthesis) are there any good DAWs for Android?
* Anyone know what method is best for quality with the "Google Voice Plan" it seems I either get better quality but tons of lag, or decent speed, but the other party hears themself echo.
* I think it has a 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM-7200a processor but again, I'm not sure if I identified the correct model.
* I apologize for jumping around alot as I know not all of this pertains to the rooting and flashing, but I just thought I'd throw those other things in there in case anyone had any input they might like to add. I hope this helps others out there struggling like myself.
* Pretty sure this isn't the Vodafone model either, but not sure if the ROMs for that work with this too... what does the Ship S-ON G mean, as the Vodafone one is ENG S OFF-H (http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=524925)?
* I just found this guide and I think it could help clear up some questions: http://forum.xda-dev...apphire_Hacking ...earlier I had found another Wiki that seemed like what I needed, but it was outdated. Then the place that led me to was to use Universal AndRoot, but to no avail. I feel so lost in a sea of data!

I just got the Tmobile Mytouch 3G from a friend of mine because I am moving to thailand for a few months and need a GSM phone. I never checked my fastboot info and then I flashed the SAPPIMG.nbh and it downgraded my phone but I'm not sure if I originally had a 32A or 32B. It says 32B when I look at the fastboot information.

that is the output of my fastboot after flashing the downloaded SAPPIMG.NBH
The only thing that I remember being different was the radio version. I believe I had a much newer radio - versoion 2.28.XX.XX something.
I have been trying for the past 2 days to successfully root the phone and install cyanogen mod and haven't had any luck... I haven't tried the goldcard method yet because I don't have an extra SIM.
As of right now, i can get the phone to boot up and it gets to the Welcome to Android screen and wants me to connect my Google account to the phone, but I'm not getting any data connection so I'm basically Fucked right now. I'm gonna keep trying until I can at least get the phone back to working even if I can't root it or whatever, I still need it to be functional.
I'll be keeping an eye out on the forums and i've posted in other forums to try and get some help, if you find anything out, let me know and I will do the same!
