Hy

I have installed a week ago, CM7 Nightly build 183 (cm_bravo_full-183.zip)... and now the current version of nightly build is 213 (cm_bravo_full-213.zip).
Now, my question is... is there a way to upgrade my current rom (nighlty build 183) to the latest build (nightly build 213) without losing or modify anything in the phone?
I want to mention that I tried the CM Updater, but it says "No updates found".

Thanks

if you apply the update from recovery, wipe the cache and the dalvik cache, then your settings will hold

Ok, so... if I download the latest version from nightly builds on my phone, I boot into recovery and wipe the cache and dalvik cache it should work?
If yes... than I have a question... what about the apk files stored in system/app on the cm_bravo_full-216.zip? They will install on my phone, too?

yup, unless you remove them prior to install - I remove around 16 of them before I flash...

Oh nice question, I was wondering if we could do the same thing with 7.1 RC to nightlies..

I mean, is it possible to update a 7.1 RC in a nightly build without erasing the data / app and so on?

That would be awesome !!!

Well... I have tried it up .. and it seems that it doesn't work !
Recovery says : Finding, then opening the update, then update starts.

After a reboot, the boot get stuck on the first screen (HTC or S-OFF ) ..

And also it seems that I screwed my backup xD .. not good !

it does work, I do it nearly every day, but things can go wrong.

dunno how you screwed your backup, seperate story, but a battery pull/restart can make a lot of difference to a boot loop.

not sure what you mean about the first screen - HTC I get, but what do you mean by an S-OFF screen?

Stuck at the bootloader I bet.

After a reboot remove all updates from Clockwork Recovery go into ROM manager and flash again...

It should work ;)

Yeah exactly it stuck at the bootloader ( I have a different first screen :) )

So.. Remove all updates.. I have never seen this option ?! Is it in recovery mode ? or ROm manager ? Or is it just a format ?

,Ah removing all application Updates... Okay !!

But first of all, I think I have issues with the archive that I've downloaded because, even after a total wipe then install of the nightly-219 I get stuck at the bootloader !

So I will re-download it and try again !!!

Did you remove the updates first  before trying to flash the nightly?

Maybe try flashing an older version of clockwork?

When you full wipe, is it not supposed to wipe everything, even the updates ?

I wanted to start from scratch with a Factory Reset.. and doesn't work either !!

Perhaps you formated your desire with the cyanogenmod layout by alpharev? You need to redo it, because they updated their hboot for cyanogenmod.
This error blocked updates for two weeks on my desire..

Backup your desire, reflash hboot, restore and update system and everything will work.
