The problem that many people pointed out in the experimental forum seems to have remained unfixed in the stable release. When booting the phone with wifi disabled, everything works as expected. However, upon the enabling of wifi, texts fail to send, and I'm presuming calls will fail as well (I'm not currently in a position to test calls right at this moment - in an hour or two, I'll update if calls work or not.) This continues even if you disable wifi afterwards, and will only fix itself upon a reboot. Something of interest is that once wifi is enabled, cell signal strength drops to zero, and stays there until the phone is rebooted.

This problem existed in the nightlies after #85. Kind of hard to believe it's still there in the "stable" release.  Thanks for the heads up, I was about to flash.  Holding off for now...

Is this addressed in the next nightly coming out? I saw a comment about WLAN in the notes. Why are previous versions not available for download e.g. 85 and below?

I can confirm the issue for Calls, as well. I got excited that the stable came out, but... this kinda breaks the primary purpose of the device. I will be watching this closely for a fix. :/

I can't believe this is in a stable release.. I'm not going to hate on the fact that we DINC2 users are official now.. but breaking the radio just by turning on Wifi is a pretty huge issue.. some people that are limited to the amount of data per month lives off of Wifi I'm sure.. Come on guys, I know you can fix this!! Maybe now since we are official we can submit bugs?

I agree, I'm one of those ppl that has a capped amount of data that i could use per month on verizon's network, and I use wifi constantly! but I guess when its free support, you just gotta be patient and wait until further notice....

Also seems to stop working if the phone is on long enough with Wi-fi off, near as I can tell. Or maybe it has something to do with connecting/disconnecting the USB cable. Either way, it stopped working when I wasn't turning wifi on... blah... :/

I just rooted my mobile since I saw the news of 7.1 and... I can't make or receive calls. I don't know if I have been able to before turning on wifi (which I did as soon as I could.)

What can i do? Should I download another version or?

I flashed it minutes after it was posted and it's lightening fast!!!!  I was bummed about data/calls and sms but I am sure it will be addressed asap since our device is officially supported. I restored to build 85 and will keep on waiting. CM7 ftw all the way!  Thank you. ;-)

So I rebooted my phone with wi fi off and I was able to place a call, but then when I enabled wifi I could not anymore.

Indeed CM7 is fast and very nice but I rely on this phone to... be  a phone.
What should I do?

Thank you. So for the 7.1 I followed the tutorial on the wiki and using recovery I first installed the CM7.1 and then a GoogleApps zip.
Do I have to do the googleapps when downgrading to build 85 too? And if yes, how? using the same file I used for version 7.1?

Yeah just flash 85 over the cm7 unless you had something else on. Google apps should be on there already. Or you can just restore a backup.

I had this same exact problem. After flashing to the stable release wifi was automatically on, so I had no signal and couldn't program at all. Tried flashing a couple different radios, but nothing worked. Before this I hadn't used the nightly builds, just the 7.1.0 beta 1 (20.28w.30.0813u_1.09.01.0722). But when I flashed back to the beta, the status bar continually force closed. I had to factory reset & reflash the beta, now it is working fine again.

Excellent.  Thanks a ton!  I tried in vain to reboot 3 or 4 builds.  Stoked I can download this now.  Appreciate it.

Hurray!!!  Nightly #99 seems to have fixed this problem, at least on my phone.  Thanks to the dev. team for putting up with our crap for this and sticking with it, now I can try to break something else on my phone!
