All,

After going through lot of hassles, I finally managed to get the CM 7.1 Stable Mod installed on my Galaxy S2. I installed Google apps as well.
Everything looked snappy and every application responded nice and I was happy with all God Mod tools from CM.

Two things disappointing me at this moment..

I couldn't get the 1080p Playback which I was able to with Stock Video Player on Stock ROM. CM 7.1 Video Player crashes no matter what Video I play (The phone just goes blank and I have to reboot it). I installed MX Player from Market and it used to support HW Acceleration before, with my Stock ROM but now that feature is not available. At least.. That's what MX Player says when I try to select HW Decode option.

Phone is getting disconnected from Cell Carrier Network. I see a small "x" next to the signal bar on Notifications pane.
To get the signal back I either have to go to Mobile Networks and select network option manually and register to my network or reboot the phone.

I'd be a happy camper if these two things are addressed with 7.1 Stable release.

Regards,
A.

Hello,
It seems the CM Video player doesn't manage videos taken with the samsung ROM video recorder too well. when you open the video player, it tries to read those and crashed. try puting them in an other directory or removing those old videos from your phone.

CM can't offer this out-of-the-box due to licensing.

Good news is.. Some android com process started crashing and then after I see an x on my cell signal bar.. In notifications it said something about International Data Roaming.. I enabled and since then it never got disconnected from cellular network.. However the phone started freezing up on me.. I'm cold rebooting to get it to work...!! Other than ADW Theme wallpapers rest all images /pic quality looks distorted..

So.. Any guesses..?! Would it be wise to re-flash the device with CM 7.1!?
