I've been a long time LauncherPro user and have used Go Launcher, ADW(CM7 default), Sense, and Vanilla. However, there are many on (and off) the market.

Which have you used and which are you favorites?

I've used ADW, aHome/PandaHome, Regina3D, Go Launcher, Balancer and some other one I can't remember the name of.

Depending what you want from a launcher, Go Launcher and Balancer are the best ones I've found.

Balancer has a simple, clean interface.
Go Launcher is practically fully customisable.

Due to the lack of updates and one extremely annoying bug with ADW EX, I have switched to GO EX. I was plenty happy with ADW EX, but when it went as long as it has without an update and this bug driving me nuts, I tried GO EX. I have been plenty happy with GO EX, and while I don't find it as fully featured as ADW EX, it still works great.

But everyone has different tastes. I can't stand Launcher Pro, but I know it is the favorite by quite a few different people.

I have tried them all and they are all very similar. So at the moment i am using regina 3D and it's very good. not so many themes and extras. But it's fast and looks really good.  I like the different wallpaper on every screen to. And it's free.

SPB Shell. $15 ... yeah ... but SO f'n sweet. Absolutely silky smooth effects - the best I've seen on my phone ( Desire HD ). Relatively configurable. Very slick widgets. Only downside - doesn't support scrollable widgets. But what I used to do when running MIUI works ... just set up a shortcut on the launcher bar to launch Go Launcher or something that does support scrollable widgets, and put all your scrollable widgets there. Then the home button takes you back to the native launcher. There isn't a free demo, but there are plenty of videos on youtube.

I was a long time LauncherPro Plus user, and LOVED IT!

It was everything I wanted and more. However, it had been months without any updates so I recently switched to ADW EX. It is pretty good, I definitely like it better than GO Launcher.

I just wish ADW would give me the option of scrolling dock instead of the secondary hidden dock.

I find that if you stick with something long enough you'll like it.

Good luck!

I'm very happy with the GO Launcher Ex. But I tried Regina 3D wich is simple, fast and well designed. The very best is its clock widget. I don't miss the live wallpaper and any theme customization on it. The dog might have 5 icons instead of 3. But that's not the concept of Regina.

For now I love to use Regina 3D but GO Ex will remain on my phone.

I've been a Launcher Pro user for a long time and still liking it so far. Very fast and sleek as compared to the stock CM7 ADW launcher. I am just waiting for an update on this launcher but thanks to other devs who are continuously creating themes and skins on CM7.

I have to go with ADW EX. It's the best one I've tried, and I'm pretty sure I've tried almost all :D

Same for me. I like the way Launcher Pro moves from screen to screen. It is smoother and faster. It just feels more intuitive.

Launcher 7 gets my vote.

Its lightening fast, simple and looks fantastic. No support for scrollable widgets but you can put widgets into tiles.

My Galaxy S is much more responsive with this launcher

I also used ADW (incl EX at some point in time) but I switched to GO EX because I need more than 7 screens to fill up what I need. But after reading this thread I might give other launchers a spin.

Zeam.  www.zeam.org  Free, minimalistic, runs great.  Not lots of bells or whistles, but it keeps the old DINC running fast as feces through a goose!
