I can't call or text on my SCH-i500 Samsung Showcase with the CM7 build (the only one for showcase)
I can barely get my GPS to work.
I am never on 3g.  I am always roaming.  I have to switch between automatic, home only, and affiliated networks just to get a signal.  But I can't call or text with a signal, so I guess it's pointless.  And even though I am connected to wi-fi, sometimes my apps won't have a connection.  And I can't download anything from the market.  I've tried so many fixes.

I  tried. RomManager didn't like CWM4 so I never backed the stock ROM up.  I can't call *228 or anything to get anything.  Any tips?

To Fix this, I found the EE25_fullOdin.tar.md5 and atlas_v2.2.2.pit (sorry I lost the URL).
I used odin to flash it. MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE THE "PHONE EFS CLEAR" OPTION!

If you cant find the files, msg me here, I will try and find a place to upload them.

I am also thinking about getting a group of cell phone geeks together in the jackson area to eat, drink and talk ****. let me know if you are interested.

I ad the exact same problem, I had to use odin with the efs clear and flash back to stock.

You could build you a virtual machine,

if yo use vmware, it supports usb pass through. Then you  can use odin on the phone in the windows virtual environment.

Are you in the jackson area? I could reflash it for you.

I appreciate the offer. I'll just use my dad's laptop when he's at work.

Where you able to get your phone back to stock?

What other roms have you found for this phone?

The stock 2.3.5 update came out last weekend. Now I can not re-root (yet).

We know what to do to fix it, but what exactly is going wrong? I think I've narrowed it down to my PRL settings not being proper... And I can't get my phone to OTA update. :(

I need some help, maybe someone here knows the answer. I have CM7 on the showcase for c spire and everything seems to be ok except I can not send a sms successfully. I can still receive them but the ones I send are either blank or never reach the destination. I have read that this is usually a problem with the short message service center number or abbreviated SMSC. I have tried flashing the different modems through odin v. 1.7 but it didn't solve the problem. I also typed in the code, *#*#4636#*#*, into the dialer to get into the phone information and my smsc is blank. I would like to enter it manually so if anyone knows the one c spire uses or can find it I would greatly appreciate it.
