So is it possible to literally just "update" to a nightly and still have all apps/data/settings the same? (say like in ROM Manager?)

Just want to make sure for certain, if I wanted to install/flash a nightly to my phone from the stable release, is it possible to do so without having to wipe data, settings and apps?

Yes, you can update without losing any data. Check the Installation Instructions - the "Upgrade from any previous version" part.

Brilliant, the nightly 41 has fixed my music playback bug and is running a little smoother still
only have the flash bug now such as iplayer, youtube videos in pulse and others etc
