It's a P999 so just follow the G2x instructions.  Make sure you look into using NVFlash to install CWM, it'll save you some heartache.  You may have to update the APN settings, not for sure.  Check XDA there may be more Videotron users there.

Hey,
I have the same phone with Videotron too. Make sure you take the STABLE mod of Cyanogen and you won't have any problem with the APN. I did it without any problem. Good luck !

its odd that this type of phone is not being update..still on 2.2.2..

it's suppose to be a very good phone and the first dual core...is it cause of videotron?

Videotron has nothing to do with the updates. It's LG that prefer to work on another phone model. I have cm7 for a few month now and i like it. The only thing is when you use cyanogen you don't have Illico .. maybe there is a download on the website but i didnt check

I am with Wind, and the only version provided here is also 2.2.2. I have used my phone with T-Mobile version 2.3.4 for the longest time. Most recently installed ICS from arcee http://rootzwiki.com...-g2x-selfkang1/ and I love it, it is an alfa release but for an alfa release I have to say this ROM rocks. Enjoy your P999 as I have. Cheers :) :D

For those interrested, I am a Videotron user with a G2x (P999)
I am running CM7 20120701 Nightly on Oct 24 2011 baseband.
EVERYTHING on the phone is stable and working perfectly.

Simple steps to get there were
If you do not flash "for_old_bb.zip" then you need to update your BB to Mar 2012 ans it is a pain in the a$$

Ran CWM, boot to recovery
Flashed CM nightly 20120701
Clear CACHE only
Immediately flashed "for_old_bb.zip"
Reboot

see this thread for "for_old_bb.zip"

Hey guys!!
i have a lg optimus 2x (Videotron Version) i think its the G2X
im trying to install a mod because videotron and lg are still in froyo2.2.....
i try many many many times to install many different roms but im always getting a freezing bootup (logo of the mod) and it stays there forever..(infinitloop i think)

(i do have the nvflash for my phone from videotron so i can try anything and if its not working i come back to the original rom)

1. i rooted my phone (super one click 1.9.1)
2. restarted
3. installed rom manager premium 5.0.2.1
4. restarted again for superuser to allow rom manager
5. download recovery (inside rom manager premium) the G2X t mobile (i tried the lge optimus 2x = major fail)
4. downloaded the last Cyanogenmod Stable (i tried a **** load of roms)
5. downloaded the google apps that comes with the rom
6. copy them to my external sd-card
7. reboot in recovery mode (inside rom manager premium)
8. now that im in recovery mode:
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cashe partition
9. install .zip from sd-card (the rom)
10. install .zip from sd-card (google apps)
11.reboot
12.... ******* Boot loop again!!!

plz i need a working method to install a rom on my phone ... im sick of that froyo2.2 from videotron... i think they will never update that phone ...
most of other companies already have ICS stock or JellyBean...
