I have installed Swype on RC1 and it works fine.
However, if you reboot / power cycle the phone, the Android keyboard becomes the default, and the Swype keyboard is disabled and removed from the 'Input method' list.
Can anyone confirm the same problem?

Yes it was. I put it back on the phone's memory and it's fine.
Perhaps I should read up on installing apps on the SD

Yeah, I kinda' wish CM didn't have the ability to force applications to the SD. I imagine tonnes of people having similar issues. I do love that you can tell eligible applications where to install by default, that's excellent.

Ahhhh! This helped. There really should be a sticky about putting apps on the sd card that don't belong there... or it would really help if all apps could be installed to sd card including widgets.
First I couldn't get widgets to work, duh! Then keyboards, duh! Then facebook contacts sync, duh! All solved by moving the app back to the phone.
