Hi All, After upgrading to 7.1 my phone seems to lose connection to google servers(cars aren't green) very often.. I've noticed it happening after I lose service because of a deadspot and I haven't been able to have it reconnect. I tried rebooting, turning on/off data with no luck.
Yesterday it came back after hours, today it's been about 7 hours with no luck.
Is this happening to anyone else?

Try wiping the /system partition within recovery and reinstalling CM and gapps. Sometimes the upgrades don't go very smoothly.

Wiping everything and a fresh install did not help, it doesn't sign on and conenct to google servers from the start.
Going back to my 7.0.3 backup for now and see if that corrects it.

Previous backup doesn't seem to work either... I'm ready for a new phone...

Also, even on WiFI it won't connect to google servers.
Still searching and trying stuff out with no luck.

No, it always timed out. I was trying that since according to my searching it forces the connection...
I spoke to T-Mobile and they said there is a data outage in my area and it was identified this morning. Look like I'll need to wait it out for a bit...
If I continue to have this problem after t mobile says it's fixed I'll post back. Thanks for the help!

Well I'm super frustrated with t mobile. I went online and it looks like my android plan is gone from my line, replaced with some BB plan. I have no clue how it happened but I'm super pissed about the other person telling me there was an outage and failing to realize that the blackberry plan was not supposed to be there.
Now they want to get me on a 5g plan, not sure what I had before and I'm wondering if 5g will be enough.. It sounds like a lot for a phone, but who knows.
Update - They gave me back what I had, which was "mytouch web".. Not sure if this is better or worse but Ifigure I can always upgrade, it will be harder to ask for it back later.
Update2 - Data is back now. I feel stupid but I didn't think T mob would screw up my services like that.
