I can't seem to figure out how to make an nand backup. I've done it many times in the past, but something seems to have changed in a new version of something.

In the howto, it says I should boot into recovery mode, and select backup/restore. But I don't have that option in recovery.

I've got these options:
- bootloader
- reboot
- reboot bootloader
- power down

When I choose bootloader, I get these options:
- fastboot
- recovery
- clear storage
- simlock

Both fastboot and recovery get me back to the first screen. Making a backup from ROM Manager brings me to the first screen. "Reboot into recovery" brings me to the first screen. Both screens are white, with three skateboarding androids at the bottom. I never get the black-themed menu.

I'm running...
Google Nexus One (obviously)
CyanogenMod 7.0.3-N1
ClockwordMod 5.0.2.0
Radio 5.08.00.04
ROM Manager 4.8.0.2

So how to I make those nandroid backups again?...

Sounds like you lost your custom recovery. Go into CM and run ROM Manager and use it to reflash your recovery.

That's so strange. You're right (well, it's not strange that you're right ;))

ROM Manager did report that my recovery was ClockwordMod 5.0.2.0, but after reflashing it, it's still the same and suddenly works perfectly.

Scary.

Yeah, I think ROM Manager just remembers the last version it flashed, I don't think it has the capability to actually read the version installed.

But I am glad you got it working.
