I just got the phone, and then rooted it. hardly using any apps but it fills up the ram to 80% capacity.

Did you ever figure out what was causing your memory leak? I've got about 20 services running right now on mine, and I'm at 50% RAM utilization. After rooting I've removed almost all of the Metro bloatware, and the only issue I've had since the root is that Handcent won't send or receive MMS messages (although it works fine with the stock messaging app). Oh well. Maybe the Revolution ROM will work on my Esteem, then it won't be an issue. :D

anyone have any updates on the LG Revolution CM rom? if they are closer to completing it because I believe that all that would need to be changed is the radio and the kernal to make it work on the Esteem.

Yes, a cwm has been released for the LG Esteem. I have installed it, along with a custom kernel and everything is working VERY well. I was able to over clock to 1.7ghz and it's quite stable.

Just picked up this phone recently. Played around with various stock and deodexed time and kernels... haven't found anything I'm crazy about just yet.

As this is a common phone... very affordable and surprisingly powerful... I would like to see a CM release. Beats the hell out of stock!

Root and recoveries are now freely available for. ZVB/C as are kernels and roms. Let's make something happen.

HI is there any chance of this port happening? I had to give back my MyTouch4G which was provided by my company and had been running CM7 (excellent work by the way on that) so I purchased this LG Esteem 4G and was hoping to get CM7 running on this phone. I've become quite attached to the Mod because of how good it is. Please consider porting this.
