First off, this looks like a fantastic community!
I'm trying to intsall CM7 on my Nexus 1. I'm going through the Wiki, step by step. I've successfully unlocked the Bootloader but I'm stumped trying to install the Custom Recovery image. I think the problem is with my command line. The recovery image is in C:\Android\Recovery. I've tried the following from the Terminal window
cd c:\Android\Recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-nexus-v2.1.1-CM.img
and it looks like the image was written, but nothing seems to have changed on the handset.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Once the recovery has been written, you need to use the menus on the phone to get into the recovery. This might require first going to back to the "bootloader" menu. If that doesn't work, you can do
cd c:\Android\Recovery fastboot boot recovery recovery-RA-nexus-v2.1.1-CM.img

Aha! Finally got it working and I'm now running CM7 absolutely fine. I had the recovery image in the wrong folder......
One thing though, although my Gmail account is set to sync it doesn't sync and I have to force it to refresh from within the Ap. Also, I have the GMail shorcut on the homescreen and when I click on it it takes me to the Add Account screen and not straight into the application as it used to.
Is this typical?

No, that isn't typical. Make sure the app is stored on the internal/phone memory.
Also, verify that Sync Gmail is selected in Settings -> Accounts and Sync -> your google account. The option doesn't get checked automatically.

That did it! I was installed to the SD Card. As soon as I moved it to the phone it is working as normal.
Thanks again!
