The build on xda is progressing nicely, but is still very much a beta.  I am itching for CM9 on the mt4g, but i would definitely settle for CM7.2 for a bit :-) Anyone have an idea when we will begin to see nightlies for either of these?

I'm using that build as my daily driver instead of the CM Nightlies and it holds up pretty well. I just wish that the camera would work.

Are you guys referring to "Creamed Glacier"? I'm running the latest version of that, but it's still buggy and I get lots of fc's. The main dev working that build is busy so updates are really slow.

Is there any word on official CM9 nightlies?
I read in an interview with Steve Kondik, the head of team douche, that CM9 won't be coming for a while because of drivers having to be rewritten and such. ICS made so many changes that it's going to take a while for certain devices to get CM9 up and running, such as our device.

Are you not experiencing the FC issues that others have?

Some other things didn't work and I finally switched over to a different ROM. It wasn't because of fc or anything like that just that the data usage in the settings apk didn't have an option to disable the data limit warning notification. Consequently I was stuck with a data limit warning notification that wouldn't go away unless I wiped so I just switched over to a Kanged version of CM 7.2 RC0. I am watching the progress of the ROM and it seems to be getting more stable. I might consider going back if they fix that issue and the camera as well.

I'd happily contribute to a bounty.  How would we start one up?

I'm not sure but I would happily donate to get a bounty going for this device. The progress on CM9, ASOP ICS, and Virtuous ICS on xda-developers has pretty much slowed down because they're all led by one person, febycv. I really think we need some more developers to help him out.

So its been awhile since any of you have posted on here... i just figured id give an update. the cameras are working including ffc and Face unlock... so we must be close to official cm9. Zipsnet is the new dev that has pretty much taken over. with help from others of course.

Zipsnet is doing an awesome job and there are other awesome devs contributing. I just hope that the CM9 devs start putting in as much effort as the others to contribute as well.

Installing my first mod. Is was hoping to put the very latest on my MyTouch 4G. Looks like I am going to just use CM7 instead of CM9. I believe it is still the ICS version. Would love to get updated when the CM9 hits.

What gives with the 'big announcement' in the MyTouch 4G forums about Cyanogenmod 9 being released today?

Looking on either of the download pages it sure doesn't look like 9.0 RC1 for the Glacier is there...

Very disappointing. Had me so excited I just backed up my old ROM :(

That's just a general announcement for the whole forum.

Dear Mr Cyanogenmod,

Please complete this survey for me.

The Glacier phone that I use everyday is (never/eventually) going to receive an OS above 7.x.

Thanks for taking the time to complete this survey. :)

So I see cm10 is being worked on and we still don't have an official cm9 alpha for our phone. What are the chances of us still getting some official cm ics love?

I tried looking through the git repos to see If the progress  that people have made on some of the Ports and stuff on XDA are being merged into cm but I can't figure that out. Can anyone here tell me if that's being done?

There are some pretty stable ics roms for our phone so I'm just really lost as to why I haven't seen anything on here yet.

I am running 4.0.4 via an xda rom and it is the most battery efficient and stable rom I have ever used. Nothing is broken.

Would you mind sharing which one, or maybe a link?

The title says it's 4.1.1 but really is 4.0.4. the dev is nearly done with 4.1.1. :)

Does anyone with access to the CM git servers know if CM9/10 is being worked on for this device?

On Google+ I asked what happend to Glacier support and they said they were "still working on a fix for the camera". Not sure if it meant CM9 or CM10, but it's more promising than nothing..

I realize this is old but according to this flow chart we aren't getting CM9. As far as I can tell from all of the spec sheets I can find the HTC Glacier doesn't have a dedicated GPU.
