if I am not wrong; to update CM 7.0.3 to 7.1, needs enter the bootloader and update from new zip file.
my nexus one's power button broken so I cant enter bootloader.
my question is; is there any other way to update new 7.1 package, without using power button. For example autoupdate.

thanks for possible answers

Use ROM Manager to update it, or you can use ROM Manager to boot into recovery and do it from there. You use the trackball to move around and select things within the recovery.

My power button is also a bit broken, but I've installed 'Quick Boot' to reboot, power off, enter recovery mode or bootloader.

I downloaded a number of apps and used the alternative buttons to turn it on, but in the end I took the risk and replaced the button. I combined it with replacing the screen and all the outer covers. took me two hour, but I now have a completely new and fully functioninng phone!

have no regrets, other than not doing it sooner.

I used the following items and the site of fixit to do the repair:

fix instructions:

Digitizer: http://www.ebay.com/...ME:L:OC:US:1123
Powerbutton: http://www.ebay.com/...ME:L:OU:US:1123

Guys those of you who have power button issues. My power button wasn't working either. I called HTC and they fixed it for free!!!!.. i mean FREEE  no shipping charge either!!!.. and they even replaced that muddy track ball too. AND MY PHONE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. Here's how I did it. I called them..that's it. Apparently the power button issue is a hardware problem. The way the phone is made. So it's HTC's fault. And that's why they are not charging for the fix. Kinda like a car recall. But they don't inform you. :)
