Hello all,

Since the CM 7.1 and until today (I have just tested the nightly 253) the widget renderFX red (night) does not put the screen red, but salmon calibrated!, the other options seems to work fine (green console, blue, salmon and calibrated).

Is this a bug? I am the only one with this problem? I used to use a lot the night mode at night...

The "night mode" isn't plain red anymore but this salmon tinted 3700K mode. There's a plain red mode as well at the bottom of the list that works just fine.
So you just have to re-add the widget and select "red" if you just want the plain red tinted screen.

I know that the red is not nearly as bright. If I have to do anything in the movie theater with my phone (like respond to a text message), I will switch it to red to try not to piss the people off around me.

Hi Zephrem, in my nexus I did not have the "red" option and the night mode had "red" in brackets. I have my menus in spanish, I have just change it to english and voilá, the red option appears and the night version says "calibrated to 3700k" as you suggested, so somehow there is a bug there for different languages.

So I have put the red RenderFX widget on my screen and change back to spanish. There the button "red" is correctly displayed in spanish but if I try to add any new RenderFX widgets the selection of mode window crashes. It is not a big deal to me because now I have the "red" version but  there is still a bug in different languages in the selection of the renderFX widget.

I hope that this can be useful for other people

On the AMOLED versions of the Nexus One, switching over to a single color rendering effect (Red, Blue, or Green) will cause only 1/3rd of all the pixels to illuminate.  In theory, using one of the aforementioned colors will decrease the display's battery usage by approximately 66%.
