yes i agree claro966 that ROM 2.3.5 is more faster and smoother but i just want to try reverting from other ROM to another in case there will be official updates for HDC A9100 that will come from fastcardtech itself. So we can update our phone using the update.zip...

But man I have recieived the HDC A9100D from fastcaradtech some 20 days ago with Android 2.3.5 so its their official relice!

To add information about our device:

I tried the original 1650 mAh Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 battery, after checked all specifications, and it fits perfectly on HDC A9100!
Same dimensions, contacts polarity and stop joints.
But 1650 mAh instead of 1300 mAh...... :)
I also saw some special type with 2000 mAh but it requires specific cover, it make the phone less thin.

With my model I receive what seems to be 2 Samsung 2200mAh Batteries.

I noticed that some of the applications from android market seams not to be compatible with this phone altrough it states in the discription of the aplication that it requieres the android 2.2 or above.
Does qanyone know why?

REMZEJ, completely agree, that's why I have tried to revert back too!But I didn't succeded, it stops giving error extracting the zip file...hope that someone can help on this!!!There is also a very annoying issue with the ROM 2.3.5 that is that sometime the phone hang-up and it cannot make call or send messages, all the other functions are up.When happens the only way is to reboot..... not proper comfortable!bye

That is because mtk6573 is a armv6 processor not armv7!</p>

Install the following apk: http://dl.getdropbox...m44tools.apk Download the following recovery image http://dl.getdropbox...%20recovery.zip and put it on your sdcard called "recovery.img".Make sure there is NO usb connected. Then after install:Start the app and choose for install recovery and it will install the recovery image(recovery.img on your sdcard)Start the app again and choose for "reboot into recovery", when it asks permission say "yes".After that you see a new screen which has a htc logo background(lol).### You can move up and down with your volume buttons and select a option with the powerbutton. ###Go to to "backup and restore" then go to backup and then check boot and system. After that you will see a screen backing up your firmware, when it's done you will see it on the screen ^^After that go back to the main screen and restart or shutdown your phone. And after all that create a zip of the "nandroid" folder on your sdcard and share it with us :D*make sure to unzip the a9100 recovery.zip and install the recovery.img in it, do not rename the zip itself

Ok i have succeeded my friends, thank you for explanation. I have to tell you that I have changed the native launcher with the ICS in the sistem applications, it might happen to you that the launcher force-closes from time to time, for that you need to press left button and open launcher settings, go to Launcher Controls and check System Persistent. This should reduce the problem to the minimum. Or just replace the launcher with the your preference within the system applications.

If you are rooted there is an apk called systemApp Remover, this apk has an option to erase system apk and to move some apk to the system! https://play.google....C5yZW1vdmVyIl0.

First post here so hope I don't ask anything all ready covered.  Pretty happy with my HDC A9100 2.3.4 apart form the GPS issue (will try recent suggestions).  Biggest issue for me is the low call volume.  Has anyone else come across this and found a solution.

Cheers

Call volue is perfect here, maybe it's the headphones you use or a speaker not working in the phone? It can also be the microphone of the person calling you :P

It is not Go Launcher with the ics theme it is the ICS Launcher+. And sorry I cannot remove it since i have removed the native Launcher. But what you get here is the latest paid version of the ICS Launcher+ - so have fun ;)https://play.google....XBwcy5JQ1N2MiJd
