i have had my Dream for a while now it has been rooted and has CM7 installed but i didnt do it myself so dont know alot about how its done ect. When i was trying to change the font in a new rom manager app it asked to re-boot phone, when i done this it got stuck on the G1, T-Mobile boot screen. i can get in to recovery and fast recovery modes but dont know where to go from there, there was no backups to restore to and dont know wether to start wipeing things or anything? if anyone knows how to restore normal working order from here without having to learn how to wipe everything and restart it would be very helpfull.

I have noticed that it sometimes takes a while for my phone to get past the G1 screen. If I were you, I would try to do a normal boot. (power on without holding any keys down) and give it a good long while 20 minutes, before deciding that my CM7 partition is hosed. I think that most recovery images have an option to reboot. You might also try booting the recovery image then selecting the option to reboot. If you already have Amon_RA recovery installed you might try to go into console mode and use the command reboot.
There are different versions of the recovery image available for the HTC Dream. I like most people here use Amon_RA. When you boot holding down the home key, what is there very first thing if says after the boot is complete before you hit any buttons?
If you come to the conclusion that the CM7 partition is hosed then your only option would be to reflash the main partition. It should be easyer since you would already have correct radio flashed by the pervious owner.
I am sort of a newbie to Android, and one else answered, so I gave the only advice I can.
Good Luck.
