Great tip! Worked for me. I used RootBrowser though. It was free and did the same job. allowed me to download and install some Gameloft games from the market.
Found the first ".prop" file under "system" Edited the files then saved and rebooted. Happy nerd

This does seem to work to some extent. I picked up Modern Combat 3 for $.99 today only to get the dreaded "Not compatible with you device" message. I made the modifications to the build.prop file as described and all is well - the game plays great. On the other hand - I had picked up BackStab HD a few weeks ago for $.10 during the sales and while this mod gets me past the first screen and downloads the resource files, the game locks up trying to get to the main menu - likely some other issue. Already have Nova 2 and Assasin's Creed HD for $.99 running fine under Webos so didn't test those.
Nice find - I picked these and other apps up when they were on sale with the expectation that workarounds/fixes would come out and it looks like that is so.
Gonna play around with changing the model to a few other tablets that run Gingerbread and have a 1024x768 screen like the Vizio VTAB1008 (only an 8 inch screen but the resolution is right) and see what that does.
I wonder if companies like Gameloft will officially support the TP once an official CM ICS release is available?
