Hey guys,

I'm a long time CM user, but just recently purchased a myTouch 4G after CM dropped support for my old phone (Vibrant). So far, I'm really liking the phone and the first thing I did was to stick CM7.1 on it. I had no problems at all rooting or flashing the phone, and I followed the steps posted in the wiki step-by-step. I've done some digging around in the forums and on XDA, but I'm not having much luck with what I find so I thought I'd start here.

I've been having a strange issue. Whenever I answer (or place) a phone call, the display goes black. Once the screen goes black, I can't get it to turn back on at all. I've found my only options are to either pull the battery or (strangely) to call my phone again when the new call comes in, the screen lights back up.

I've tried tinkering with the Proximity sensor settings (although I'm not sure that the myTouch 4G has this sensor) and I've dug around the CM Settings and Settings menus to see if there's some setting that is acting contributing or causing this.

Naturally, this is pretty annoying. I use a Google Voice number, and I have to press a keypad button to accept a call but I can't do that, because the screen is off. It's making the phone difficult (or impossible) to use.

Thanks in advance!

I actually sort of figured this out. The proximity sensor is damaged on my phone. I posted about it on XDA, in case anyone has similar issues in the future.
