I just did the 7.1 mod and I was able to set up my epb email and my gmail accounts to send and recieve emails but in the accounts and sync tab in the settings menu, I can not succesfully add my google account to sync my contacts. It asks for my email address and password. then the next screen it asks for Domain\Username...Password....Server. I have set my google account to POP, so username and password are obvious and I enter pop.gmail.com for server. Their is no manual set up and with the given info it keeps telling me Unable to open connection to server.

I am fairly new to using CM7, but along with installing the ROM itself, did you by chance download and install the gapps?
