Given the recent explosion of nightly users, I understand your need for a place to discuss them, and/or ask if other users are having similar issues as you...this is that place

  • DO NOT: Post to the bug tracker
  • DO NOT: Open another thread (I will enforce this with temp bans)
  • DO NOT: Think of this as official forum support; this thread will be strictly user to user support. Don't expect CM-dev help.
** These CyanogenMod builds are highly experimental and unsupported.
**
** Please refrain from submitting bug reports for any issues
** you may encounter while running one of these builds.
**
** Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
** cause of male impotence.

Have just installed it. It works quite nicely, except for the fact that the camera has inverted axes, and a few rare minor twitches. Otherwise, it works great and i recommend it.

Somewhat off-topic:

1. I rooted my phone with Unlock Root, and installed Rom Manager Premium on my lge730. Flashed clockworkmod, and downloaded the latest cyanogen nightly build. It walks you through the whole process.

2. Use volume up/down in recovery mode to navigate in the menu and power button to select.

3!!! Use my indications at your own risk!!!

Thank you for cyanogenmod, and will be released when next version?

ps problem has been found -
1. crooked and rotated 90 degrees to remove the camera
2. gsm module works only in the firmware 10a, if the flash cyanogenmod to 10b gsm-module does not work

pss sorry for bad english

Reporting on my attempt at E739.  I tried v9 with partial wipe of phone (keeping contacts, data).  Bricked my phone.  Installed adb and did complete wipe, reinstalled v9 and it worked, but all of my data is gone.

had same thing, get into recovery mode and restore and then Factory reset the phone again.

Taken from T-Mobile support.

Quote

A master reset (factory reset) restores the original factory settings and erases all user data (including settings and downloaded content) stored in the phone's internal memory. It does not erase data stored on the SIM card or memory card (if available).

Note: If the handset is locked, frozen, or unresponsive, you can perform a master reset using the hardware keys instead of the menu.

Note: Timing is critical in pressing/releasing keys.

To perform a master reset using hardware keys, follow these steps:

Note: If you see the LG logo before pressing the Back and Menu keys, the reset hasnt been completed and you will need to restart.
  • Back up all necessary data. See: Preparing for a master reset on Android.
  • Turn off the phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume Down and Power keys.
  • Wait 3 seconds and press the Back and Menu keys.
  • Release the Power/Lock key after you see the LG logo.
  • Release the remaining keys after the LG logo flashes (blinks once).
  • The Android Unpacking screen appears.
  • The phone will restart and complete the factory reset.

Note: If you unintentionally press the Volume Down, Volume Up and Power keys simultaneously, the phone will display a circle icon with two arrows and 'S/W Upgrade, Please wait while upgrading...' message. You will need to pull the battery and restart.

That's what I thought. I can't seem to get that to work. I've done it before, but now it doesn't do anything. Sometimes it goes straight to the logo as soon as I put the battery in.

Success! Attempting to restore my backup,if that fails, at least I know I can get into recovery mode, so I can do a factory reset.

Any predictions on when sound might get restored?  My backup Android ROM was apparently corrupt (or there is a setting I need to manually fix)--when I flash back to it, the "phone"-related apps crash, and there is a red-"x" next to the bars with "no service" listed (everything else works, however, including wifi).  So right now I essentially have a CM7-based pager+gameboy.  I can wait another week, but if it will be longer than that, I may just send it in for a new one.  I'm not a programmer, so technologically I'm pretty useless, but if there's anything I can do to help let me know...

There isn't an audio driver that we can download and install in the meantime is there?

Try flashing with an older build of cm7. I flashed my e739 with build 15 and got myself into a boot loop at the cm logo. I had made a backup of my origonal rom and when I would try and to recover my phone but the recovery didnt go through. What I did was flashed an older build of cm and it worked (of course with no sound though). I then went back into the cwm and tried flashing my backup and it worked. So im currently running on my origonal stock rom. I am not flashing cm7 untill the sound works. A phone is hardly a phone with no sound what so ever.

Flashed CM7 nightly build 18 to E739.  Got stuck on cyanogenmod logo.  It kept repeating (restarting?).  Restored original ROM.

That's what happened to me the first time.  I did some research--this is common if you don't completely wipe your phone first.  I was hoping to keep my original settings, apps, etc, but you can't.  You can use MyBackup Pro to save all of that separately and reload it in.  But to prevent the CM boot loop, it seems that you have to do a complete wipe before you install it.

Thanks, wiping the data and cache did the trick.

In the end, there was no sound. Otherwise, it looked pretty good.

Word is that the E730 and E739 have different sound amplifiers, so the E739 will have to have its own build.
